It's all by design. Get 1/3 to believe everything the government said because they like it; get another 1/3 to disbelieve what you've said completely; get the final 1/3 of the population to just write it all off. "Welp, I guess we just can't know."

Nah. No black conservative, I repeat, no black conservative will ever win the black vote in my lifetime. It simply won't happen. Even John Lewis was with Hillary in 2008 until Obama won Iowa. Dr. Carson would not have gotten the black vote in 2017. Maybe 20-25% of the black vote is my estimate of what he would have gotten. At best. You truly are underestimating the level of discontent that blacks have with the Republican Party and Trump has only made it worse.

Before you get all, how do you know you're a white guy on me, I've dated black women all my dating life, been married to one for over 20 years my second wife of color. 90% of my friends are black. Hell at get togethers I'm the only white guy in the room sometimes so I have a good handle on the sentiment of the black community. The guys and I have had these conversations over and over. I find that most of their fear is founded in long standing lies and dependence created by liberals and the fear of change. There is a better way. You can embrace, be educated about it or continue on the oh so prosperous avenue that the community is on. I don't care. Your tone comes off as venomous and hateful and closed minded at times. I really get to the point I want to say the hell with it. But I'm hard headed. And I know the conservatives I know have no ill will toward the black community. They want to help. It's the black communities distrust that keeps them in the rut they are in. The black community either wants to remain seperate or take over instead of joining conservatives in the main stream of society. It's as much the black communities issues today as those imposed by any supposed opression. The Democrats have the black community right where they want them. In fear, dependent, on the voter block, and far from their neighborhoods. You have been conditioned and I understand. I'm not your enemy. I actually want better than a handout in trade for a vote, thats all the democrats are offering. The rest is lip service. By the way I hate democrats and republicans. I'm a GOD fearing conservative who see's you as my equall in all ways and knows there is a better way. I'm just not about the bull crap in any shape or form from anyone. Racial division is a distraction that keeps people from coming together and being as GOD intended us to be. We are all getting played from the top. Biy in or biy out its your life and honestly it wont affect me one way or the other. I only want you to open your mind to the possibilities.

You must have been asleep the past 8 years when Obama's press secretaries lied in front of a podium every single day. That is what press secretaries do. I suspect that they are actually shielded from the truth sometimes to allow them to say the things that they do with a straight face.

I just said I thought it was stupid to even bring up. I stated on the day of the Inauguration it was weird how fixated the media was on attendance it was obvious what the attempt was. But Trump should not take the Media's bait.

 

It wasn't attended near the level of 2008 but it also had more people there than the photos that were floating around on liberal twitter. There was no reason for Trump to inflate the numbers and I think it was a bad move.

I agree. Crowd estimates are always criticized, no matter who makes them. The focus of the entire Trump administration during his first day in office should have been on substantive issues.

 

Trump's tendency to bite when baited by the media, regardless of how trivial the subject, is one of my biggest issues with him. If it is a slow news day, all the media will need to do is plant a story about Trump's small hands.

This is where I get frustrated because I truly want to believe that you don't intentionally mean to come off as insulting as you are coming. I haven't been conditioned. I've spent my entire life building my character and persona based on life experiences. Those who know me the best know that I go against the grain on purpose to shape my thoughts and views. Was I raised in a house of democrats? Absolutely. But my family is a successful family. My father is a president of a small college in Pennsylvania. Livingston Alexander. President of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Look him up. He is very well respected nationally in the world of education and to this day is still the smartest man I know. He left his home at the age of 13 to get a better education and make something of himself. He started off as an elementary school teacher and I watched him work his way up from there to President of a University. Long story short we have never needed handouts and we have never voted democrats for the sake of getting handouts. When statements like that are made do you really think that makes me want to rethink whether or not I want to remain a democrat? You sit there and say you hate republicans and democrats but yet your whole post is blaming democrats for the "racial division" in America. That reads like a contradictory statement. Your whole post reeks of the elitism that so many conservatives love to claim that the liberals have a lock on. If the conservatives truly want to help the black community why does the black community have to vote for them to receive that help? If they truly cared they'd go fix it on their own volition wouldn't they?

 

And again, like I said, I truly want to believe you don't mean to be as insulting as your post reads. I'm married to a white woman with a conservative, God fearing, gun clinging family. Her late grandfather was outwardly racist but did his best to act like he had some sense when I came around. Her family treats me great and we all love one another dearly. At the same time I am not going to act like I know or have a handle on how they feel and they don't act like they know or have a handle on mine. I went to a private school through 8th grade and public school through high school. I went to a Historical Black College for my freshman year of college and then went to UK for a couple of years and never graduated. You will not come across many more people with as diverse of a background that I have. I'm not bragging it is just a fact and it is something my father did by design and it has helped me succeed in life even when I have created situations for myself in which I shouldn't succeed. I had a very privileged upbringing and all of my thoughts and views that I hold after 42 years are a result from that so no, I'm not going to buy in to what you are trying to sell. I'm going to continue to buy in to what I see and feel as I always have been my whole life. My mind has been open to possibilities since the day my dad taught me how to read.

Like I said this isn't new press secretaries lie, in all adminstrations. I could find more examples of Jay Carney or Josh Earnest if you like? It doesn't mean I like it or approve of it. I just don't care about debating crowd size.

First of all, the estimates of the number of people (including men, women, and children) placed the number higher than 500,000, but why quibble over an exaggeration of a half-million marchers? Second, that number undoubtedly was swollen by the radical left-wingers who descended upon Washington, DC, to protest the peaceful transition of power to newly elected President Donald J. Trump.

 

As for the women among the 500,000 attendees disagreeing with me, I think that it is safe to say that I would find little to agree with them on a wide range of political positions and the same would be true of their spouses and the brainwashed children who they exposed to the obscene rants of people like Ashley Judd.

 

I'll assume that you read further and my explanation of my initial understanding of what the march was called, and me providing more accurate estimations.
