January 24, 20179 yr Trump's crowd is clearly smaller in both pictures. Look toward the Washington Monument. If you can see white, that means no people. There is more white in Trump's pictures. That is a great effort by Trumpeteers to hide the truth. That is the absolute best angle to use to try and hide the truth.#koolaid Here is the bigger point. January 24, 20179 yr Not going to read 15 pages of commentary on this inane topic, but did anyone consider that the areas surrounding DC are virtually ALL left wingers, thus along with Obama's historic Presidency it would be expected he'd get larger crowds? With Trump's support more from the South/Southwest & Midwest it's a lot further to travel. For much of Trump's middle class support it was also a work day, something much of the Obama support didn't have to worry about? Trump and/or his surrogates arguing the attendance is equally silly--Who cares? You're the President--Move on with your agenda and get things done! DJT needs to start picking his battles better--The media will provide ample opportunity to argue moving forward--This is trivia.

The Republican Party barely has a pulse in northern Virginia, and is probably even weaker in the DC suburbs in Maryland. In DC, I believe Trump received 4 percent of the vote. I could have been at the inauguration in under an hour, including my 8 minute walk to the Metro station. Most conservatives coming to DC for rallies have a much longer trip to get here. That is a UGE advantage for liberals when it comes to rally attendance. That does not excuse Trump for exaggerating attendance, but it does illustrate how silly it is for liberals to crow about attendance numbers.
