Pac Man Jones

Featured Replies

I used to like Deters but not so much now. He totally botched the Tensing trial by overcharging and now seems to be botching this. I believe the nurse over him. He also said he wanted to see what the NFL will do with Pac Man before deciding what to do with him, right? What the NFL does to Pac Man should have NO bearing on what the legal system does IMO...

This may take forever then. Doesn't the league typically wait until the legal system is finished? But Roger may do something with him considering there's video. I'm not comparing this to the Rice incident at all, but look at the difference video made. Rice banned. Mixon blackballed. No video for Tyreek Hill punching a pregnant woman, and he's a pro-bowler.
He will not face felony charges....

Adam 'Pacman' Jones won't be charged with felony in Downtown arrest, Prosecutor Joe Deters says - Story

Just ridiculous. If any of us had done what he did, we would slapped with a felony.

From the Article:

CINCINNATI -- Bengals cornerback Adam Jones won't face a felony indictment in connection with his arrest earlier this year.

In fact, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said he thinks the city of Cincinnati should toss the case against Jones entirely.

"It's just drunken foolishness," Deters said.

Deters announced his decision Wednesday afternoon to dismiss a count of harassment with a bodily substance. He said he didn't believe what Jones did rose to the severity of a felony.

"In this case, Adam Jones had some chew in his cheek, and he spit it out and it hit the nurse's hand," Deters told 700WLW host Bill Cunningham.

If what is reported in the article is true I agree with Deters, this isn't even close to a Felony.

However, I really wish the Bengals would cut Pacman. He is constant trouble and his skills are diminished to a point where it doesn't make sense any longer.

No way the entire case should be thrown out.

If what Deters says about the spit is true, I can understand no felony. But no way should he have no charges at all.

Agree on both counts.

No way the entire case should be thrown out.

A guy with Pac Man's totally idiotic past does not deserve any benefit of the doubt IMO. I agree that there is no way the entire case should be thrown out.

A long-time defense attorney told Bill Cunningham that this type of sentence is quite common.

The alleged spitting victim negotiating with Jones for a settlement made it easier for Deters to dismiss that charge.

100% this.

After watching the video, I lean towards Deters' version of the spitting incident over the nurse's version.

Still hoping they cut him after June 1st.(I think that's the deadline)
