I have looked at a lot of the early bowl matchups. I would not watch most of these games if they were playing in my back yard for free. I do have a lot of interest in the New Year's games and the playoff games. I just cannot get interested in watching a 5-7 team do battle with a 6-6 team.

I'm not sure what you are getting at? Care to elaborate?

 

Basically most people think these early bowl games are garbage and in general are not attractive matchups. I'm not sure why your expecting a lot of conversation about those games.

People don't care about bowl games unless their team is playing or unless it's what is now the CFB Playoff. I don't think that's any different now than its ever been.

Bowl Games are kinda who cares but I did watch IU and Utah State I think last night. It was a great game and it was fun rooting for IU.

I love the bowl games but to me a lot of the matchups are weird. You'll have the 6th ranked team from one conference playing the 9th ranked team from another. It should be more uniform than that. Outside of the top 3 finishers who have a shot at a NY6 bowl make the minor bowl games between teams that finish in the same position within their respective conferences.

And yes the SEC is down. Like I said in a thread earlier in the year they all play 3 cupcakes every year and so far they are a blocked field goal against Miami OH a 6-6 team from the MAC from being 0-4 in bowl games. They're down quit turning a blind eye to it. Bama is Bama. The SEC being down is not a knock on Bama. Update Arkansas was up 24-0 on VT at half. Third quarter is over and it's 24-21.

I have watched bits and pieces of most of the games but have not posted on here. One of the Ohio sites has a running thread on each game, and though it has not been real busy, there is enough talk going on to have movement on each game.

Update 28-24. VT over Arkansas early 4th quarter after being up 24-0.

35-24 VT. Looks like a 1-4 start. I guess we finally figured out what means more. More losses.

I prefer the minor bowl games because I think the teams are more excited to be in them than the teams in the major bowls other than the playoff ones.

 

Miami of Ohio may or may not be in a bowl again anytime soon so they were pumped versus an Oklahoma that missed the playoffs but will make a bowl of some sort every year.

In other news, Arkansas is putting the hurt on a top 25 ranked 9-4 ACC team.
