Agreed. For me this is a disappointing direction for the party.

Pretty much could be said for all of Washington, couldn't it? Sad.

Democrats had a few young options that could of sparked excitment for 2018. It is just a head scratching move.

 

I think regardless who led there was going to be some obstruction. The more important part for the party , maybe not the country but the party was about brining excitment back to the fly over states. But instead they will be lead in house by a long tenured Democrat from San Francisco and in the Senate by a long tenured Democrat from New York. Politically not a good move.

 

Also to sound hypocritical I actually don't mind Chuck Schumer in the Senate. He is a deal maker.

Unfortunately. But minority parties in the House have limited ability to obstruct. In the Senate, Schumer seems more nimble.

 

At the end of the day, I doubt many people know of or care who the House minority leader is.

Of course. Nobody is going to vote eliminate their gravy train. They'll all sure vote for a pay increase and cushy pension though. Maybe DJT can pull one of those executive orders out of his hat like Obama always could.

If it were only that easy. Unfortunately, I believe it will take a constitutional amendment just like the 22nd amendment which put term limits on presidents.

Same old stuff. I find it hilarious how they seem to concentrate power to their chosen few. This election was a revolt against that type of behavior. They don't get it, lost and it will get worse for them. Thank God, they have led us astray in the worst of ways.

Nancy might be more liberal than 75% of the national party , good choice Libs .. LOL . Maybe the guys that voted needed to vote first to see what the result might be like ?
