December 7, 20169 yr How much do they return from this years team? After a very solid year this year, USF could be very attractive for a young coach trying to get his name out there for a P5 job. Marlon Mack was going to go pro anyway. Now, Quinton Flowers and D'Ernest Johnson may go too. Not many seniors, though. They do lose their best receiver, Rodney Addams, to graduation. The D needs all kinds of help. Had Taggart stayed, I think USF would have had a legitimate shot at an undefeated season and Flowers the Heisman, next year. Now? Taggart spent an inordinate amount of time recruiting the fan base. He puts a 10-2 team on the field and USF can't even sell out the bottom bowl of Ray Jay. The new coach will have to do the same. That is going to play a factor in whoever they get. The only thing going for the school is that Tony Dungy is heavily involved with the process. He got Willie to come here. He also had a lot to do with Taggart getting the job at Oregon, too though. I an no expert, by any stretch of the imagination. Please take my comments with a grain of salt. However, I will probably talk with the AD Harlan or at least somebody in his office once or twice before a decision is made. If Mark will let me post his thoughts, BGP will be the first place they land.
