At least we have WV running backup.

Florida went with the German Shepherd too....KY, WV and FL are the only three states that broke away from the status quo.

I think this would mean registrations by breed. The most popular and populous dog is the "mixed breed" which account for >53% of the entire dog population according to the American Humane Society.

But...Beagle?

We are a boxer household. Never getting a different breed

If you ever rabbit hunt with a good beagle, there is nothing like it. I do love beagles, but German Shepard is my All Time favorite.

So Im guessing people like Labs.

Our household is only labs, have a black, yellow, and a white one. Very smart and great with kids.

But...Beagle?
Rabbit Hunters

We used to have a Beagle and Lab. Now it's a Collie mix and Great Dane. Although I constantly say when these 2 are gone, I'm done with dogs, I'm sure I'll get another Great Dane.

I've never had anything except mixed breeds, and I doubt I ever will. My dogs have all "happened" into my life. :lol2:

If I ever own a retrieving dog, other than a pointer/setter, it would be a Chesapeake Bay Retriever.

The wife and I are going to be getting our first dog this upcoming summer. It's either going to be a lab or a Chessie.

I love all doggs, but is a beagle going to save you when a prowler comes around? Love my German Shepherd!
