Trent is averaging over 40 yards a boot, and is good for at least one, if not two, "rain-makers" a game.....he gets serious hangtime.

I thought St X's kicker was really good when I saw him vs BG.

Tay Guillory. Another funny thing about Tay is he absolutely hates football. If he dedicated half the time in Football that he does in Basketball...the sky would be the limit. Can't help what you love I guess.

 

Yep. He loves basketball and is actually a very good player. But he could be special and play at the next level if he put the time into kicking. Who knows, maybe he will.

I second this. Team has struggled in win column this year so he doesn't get the accolades if he were somewhere else, but KO's are out of endzone. Is nationally ranked based on his summer performances and several Power 5 schools are highly interested in his services.

Big leg but not as accurate as Edwards.

Jeremy Moran - Walton Verona

Franklin-Simpson has Maddie Alexander at kicker. She is pretty accurate, however I don't have stats

Riley Woods from Wayne County

Devin Boggs of Bardstown has a great leg and has been a big weapon for them this year on FGs/XPs and in the field position battle. I don't recall too many KOs that weren't touchbacks.

Crazy thing is appears that the 3 best specialist are all in the same district (at least according to national rankings).

 

Jakson Wine, Bryce Webb, & Josh Edwards.

 

Wine & Webb attended a big camp at University of Illinois and the special teams coach there (former coach for NFL Texans, Rams, & others) said that the 2 of them are are the best combo of specialist for any HS in the country hands down. There was a story on Scout.com about them. Wine was MVP at the camp winning the FG competition going 24 for 24 as well as the KO competition. Webb placed second in Punt competition.

 

Webb & Edwards are ranked #19 & #20 in the country as punters by Chris Sailor (he picks for the US Army All American game) and are rated as 4.5 star recruits as punters. (4.5 - 5 Star is D1) (4 star is D2)

 

Wine is ranked #132 as as place kicker by Sailer and 4.5 star.

Wine is also on Scout.com listed (no stars but only about 20 something kickers listed nationwide)

Edwards is ranked #179 as a place kicker by Sailer and a 4 star.

Wine is ranked #1 in the country as a kick of specialist by pro kicker.com and the #6 kicker in the country by them as well

 

Both Edwards and Webb have scholarship offers to punt from Morehead State and Lindsey Wilson

Webb is receiving interest from Illinois, WKU, Austin Peay, & Purdue as a punter and has visited those according to his twitter. He also plays QB and threw for 1,200+ yards this year

 

Edwards is also receiving interest from WKU and Charlotte as a kicker and punter but according to Sailor appears to be more of a punting prospect due to his height 6'6"

 

Wine seems to be towards the top of UL list as a kicker and has visited them a few times. He has visited Illinois, Charlotte, & Virginia as well according to his twitter. He also has received interest from WKU as on his twitter he visited for jr day and spring game and their camp. Wine plays WR as well and had a game with 222 receiving yards with Webb at QB according to HUDL/MaxPreps

 

Crazy that this district has these 3 kickers (all best kickers in the state this year according to national rankings) and also produced Creque from Collins as well as the other kicker from North Oldham who is at EKU now kicking (Peeggee) a couple years ago. Oldham County HS and North Oldham has good young kickers it seams too.

Wine: 4 FG & 8XP, 6 TD (KHSAA) 27 KO w avg of 62.7 yards and long of 75 yards, 4 FG made w Long of 46 yards (MaxPreps)

Webb: 4 TD (KHSAA) 27 punts with 40.6 yard average and a long of 62 yards (MaxPreps)

D Guillory : 2 FG & 34 XP (KHSAA) (no max preps stats)

His rain-makers are an under-rated stat in high school football. If you can punt the ball 40-45 yards and make the other team fair catch it or catch it under duress then it can result in a turnover a surprising number of times.

Mitchell Hollifield from Cooper is very good, he attended the Ray Guy kicking camp over the summer and was a top 3 rated place kicker and punted out of everyone there. A little better at field goals and punting than kickoffs right now but does all 3 well

Alex cohron South warren Jr. about 50% touchback also has a couple of 40+FG .
