Mitchell Hollifield the kicker for Cooper finished 1st in the ProKickers invite only camp where they take the top 100 kickers in the country. Not bad.

 

He finished 1st in FG's with 100% made in the camp as well as averaged 44.6 yds or something like that a punt.

Mitchell Hollifield from Cooper is very good, he attended the Ray Guy kicking camp over the summer and was a top 3 rated place kicker and punted out of everyone there. A little better at field goals and punting than kickoffs right now but does all 3 well

 

Looks like Hollifield is ranked behind Jakson Wine (#1) North Oldham , Lee Ramsey #2 (Bowling Green), & Owen Johnson #3 (St Xavier) in the state of Kentucky but is ranked as the #2 punter (behind Zach collins (St X ). He is ranked as the best "combo" kicker in Kentucky though

Crazy thing is appears that the 3 best specialist are all in the same district (at least according to national rankings).

 

Jakson Wine, Bryce Webb, & Josh Edwards.

 

Wine & Webb attended a big camp at University of Illinois and the special teams coach there (former coach for NFL Texans, Rams, & others) said that the 2 of them are are the best combo of specialist for any HS in the country hands down. There was a story on Scout.com about them. Wine was MVP at the camp winning the FG competition going 24 for 24 as well as the KO competition. Webb placed second in Punt competition.

 

Webb & Edwards are ranked #19 & #20 in the country as punters by Chris Sailor (he picks for the US Army All American game) and are rated as 4.5 star recruits as punters. (4.5 - 5 Star is D1) (4 star is D2)

 

Wine is ranked #132 as as place kicker by Sailer and 4.5 star.

Wine is also on Scout.com listed (no stars but only about 20 something kickers listed nationwide)

Edwards is ranked #179 as a place kicker by Sailer and a 4 star.

Wine is ranked #1 in the country as a kick of specialist by pro kicker.com and the #6 kicker in the country by them as well

 

Both Edwards and Webb have scholarship offers to punt from Morehead State and Lindsey Wilson

Webb is receiving interest from Illinois, WKU, Austin Peay, & Purdue as a punter and has visited those according to his twitter. He also plays QB and threw for 1,200+ yards this year

 

Edwards is also receiving interest from WKU and Charlotte as a kicker and punter but according to Sailor appears to be more of a punting prospect due to his height 6'6"

 

Wine seems to be towards the top of UL list as a kicker and has visited them a few times. He has visited Illinois, Charlotte, & Virginia as well according to his twitter. He also has received interest from WKU as on his twitter he visited for jr day and spring game and their camp. Wine plays WR as well and had a game with 222 receiving yards with Webb at QB according to HUDL/MaxPreps

 

Crazy that this district has these 3 kickers (all best kickers in the state this year according to national rankings) and also produced Creque from Collins as well as the other kicker from North Oldham who is at EKU now kicking (Peeggee) a couple years ago. Oldham County HS and North Oldham has good young kickers it seams too.

Funny story on Tay. This year vs. Warren Central on one of his extra points, he kicked it over the track (which he does like it's his job), but it hit and bounced through one of the windows of the concession stand.

 

He ALSO kicks all extra points & Field Goals WITHOUT a Tee...all of them off the ground. He's done so his entire high school career.

 

Been around high school school for over 40 years + I've never seen more impressive kicker than the kid from John Hardin.. Saw him pre game kick 3 60 yards field goals without a tee.. The last one cleared it by 5 yards. The sound of the thump was different from anything I've ever heard of before.. His leg action reminds me of a golfer hitting a 3 iron from 250 out.. That's a bad boy I'm telling you he's something else.

Madison Central's kicker does excellent job sorry I don't know his name

SK Christian Seger is 53/56 on PATs and 3/3 field goals.

Correction on Mason Molique from Ryle (C/O 2019). "7-8" on FG's this 2016 season with the 45-46 PAT's currently. Career 18-21 FG's and 94-96 PAT's and he's just a Sophomore! Strong leg for a Sophomore that will only get stronger, and very accurate. FYI: 54 PAT's made as an 8th grader for the undefeated Freshman team in 2014.

Haven't seen this kid play but heard that there is a kid at Boyle Middle School that can punt the ball over 40 yards and his kickoff almost make the endzone. By the way they say that he is a 7th grader and his dad punted at UK. Don't remember what the kids name is.

I know Trent Wrobelski from NewCath is outstanding. Anyone else?

 

Trent is averaging over 40 yards a boot, and is good for at least one, if not two, "rain-makers" a game.....he gets serious hangtime.

 

His rain-makers are an under-rated stat in high school football. If you can punt the ball 40-45 yards and make the other team fair catch it or catch it under duress then it can result in a turnover a surprising number of times.

 

Wrobleski is the best punter I have seen in N. Ky. in quite a while. Hang time is huge and gets the distance too.

 

I know scholarships for kickers are few and far between. Assuming no scholarship, I recommend Wrobleski walk on at a big school. He will earn the punting job, get exposure and you never know from there. He has a ton of potential.

Not sure his name, but I really like the place kicker from Shelby County. Consistently puts kickoffs into the endzone and is a field goal threat from a good distance.

 

Three years after I posted this I got a dislike today. Unexpected!

Gronette for Covcath. He has been a kicker since freshman year. Currently a junior and had I think he has every kicking record at covcath. If not he will soon. Very consistent on extra points, has made many field goals even though CovCath hasn't had to kick too many field goals in the last 3 years. Gronette could make 40-50 yard field goals if given the chance. His kickoffs are almost always touchbacks. He will get recruited to a major D1 school next year.
