I only caught the end. Is Colton Williams out for SK?

 

Someone posted in the predictions thread that Williams has been out due to injury for several weeks.

I owe an apology to the color guy on the broadcast tonight. He CORRECTLY stated that this game didn't mean anything in seeding. Since I assumed SK and Ryle were in the same district I posted that was incorrect.

 

Come to find out NKY 6A is split and they are not in the same district. My apologies, sir.

6A in NKY really has some good teams. Unfortunately though Louisville is still in the same state.

Ryle,SK, Cooper, Conner are all

solid teams this year and makes

me wish KHSAA would pull their head out of their butts and make it a 6 team district.

Good balance attack tonight. We left some points on the field from questionable coaching calls and some holding penalties, but at the end of the game a good win for raider nation. At times Raiders didnt know what plays to run or personal to get in the field on special teams. Trick plays that send your QB out for a pass will never end well. As we go through the playoffs, less tricks and more solid football will be needes to win. Now focus on Dixie

Chisholm had 235 on 30 carries.

Ryle looked much better then SK on almost every aspect of the game tonight. The score is not that indicative of how the game felt Ryle should have won by three more touchdowns.

 

I must have watched a different Ryle/SK game. Ryle deserved to win, and their d-line was very good all night. Chisholm is a great player and Morgan looked the part of a D-I thrower. Ryle is for real.

 

That said, SK had opportunities to throw the ball deep on Ryle - they missed a couple the first half, and stopped looking for those plays the second half. I have to say SK's play calling tonight was a little bizarre. I still like them more with Shearer as the QB and Racke at RB, and that pairing was able to move the ball. Racke struggled throwing the ball the second half, but rather than going with a straight pass/run package with Shearer and Racke, it felt like SK was compelled to instead trick plays that netted nothing. Racke is a great runner who really didn't get enough touches, and Shearer throws a great deep ball but that play wasn't called in the second half.

 

Bottom line - Ryle was the better team tonight - they played better and I think they were coached better.

The young man rad hard and had good speed. SK gave up a lot of yards after contact. I'd bet he had over 100 yards after contact.

The SK faithful had a mass exit back to White Tower with 10 minutes left, it was only a 2 score game at the time.

 

I couldn't believe how many were leaving for both sides. 15 point game with around 9 to play and people were heading out in droves. SK cut it to a 7 point game and had the a chance to drive for the tieing score. I was kind of hoping they would have since everyone left.

Maybe they was cold?

Morgan was 18/26 261 yards 3 tds 1 int.

Luke Vance had 4 catches 126 yards 2 tds.

Guilty but I had a worn out four year old and a 3/4 mile walk. I think a bunch of people wanted to be the masses since they likely sat in traffic for a long time prior to the game.

Can't wait for the rematch in a few weeks.
