Awesome high school environment, best team won tonight!

So we always say that a team that is number 1 retains that ranking untill they get beat. Can @Footballforever74 say Ryle is #1, one time....

Not being critical at all, started with great balanced attack. I agree with you solid coaching on defense all night. Sensless to put QB as trick play receiver when the risk isnt worth the reward. Especially when the run was working so well with Chisholm. Two of four plays were throws inside the 5.

Coming into the game I thought Ryle was slightly better because they have a better defense. Nothing I saw in the game changed my opinion. The teams are pretty even. Simon Kenton still could have won with a few less mistakes. Mistakes were common for both teams. There were dropped passes, poor throws, missed blocks, dropped interceptions, and poor tackling by both teams. There were also nice passes, great runs, and big plays by both teams. Neither team is what I would consider a great team. However, both are better than what NKY 6A puts out most years.

 

Neither team is close to the level of Trinity, X, and Male. They're also not to the level of what Highlands was for their 8 year run. I root for all the N. Ky teams in the playoffs, but my feeling is that neither team will need to worry about practicing on Thanksgiving.

Have to disagree. I don't know that these two teams can even beat Scott Co./Lafeyette, much less X, T, and Male. The good news is we'all find out in 4 more weeks.

Based upon what? Both are good teams but not considerably better than the years past when Ryle and Simon went deep in the play offs and had lopsided losses to one of the mentioned three. I'm not saying T, X or Male could name the score on either but the outcome of the games would be determined going into the 4th quarter.

I believe both Conner and Cooper put more points up on Ryle than SK did. SK would need a lot more if they want to compete with any of the big 3 in Louisville.

 

I think it's pretty interesting that the same night SK gives up its NKY dominance over

the last couple years is also the same

nignt that Boone gets their first W in 3 years.

Pretty memorable night for a couple Boone Co teams getting big wins.

These teams were ranked 2&3 in the state for a reason. I have seen X play and both of these teams are 2 scores better than them.

I guess we will just wait and see. SK or Ryle needs to get to BG to have a shot. Best of luck to both but there are some other teams they have to get through first.

You've never seen a trick play end with a QB scoring a touchdown or any other positive result? Might want to watch more football then pal. It happens all the time.

 

You've got the best QB and RB in NKY and two offensive lineman on the left side that will play college football. I don't think that's the play you want to call inside the 10 yard line.
