Burfict Is Going To Wind Up Suspended Again

Featured Replies

If it's an option, I would appeal that fine if I were Burfict.

He is.

Stop saying Burfict went low to avoid a targeting penalty. You all are smarter than that.

And the pump fake garbage. If he was that faked out by a pump fake he needs to find different job.

How many games in the NFL have you played? Have you played any games at the speed of the NFL? Its 3rd and 3 and a guy runs a route right at the sticks, and the QB looks right at the guy, and starts his throwing motion to him. In the NFL you don't have a half a second to watch and see if he really is throwing. Most people around the league even recognize Burfict as a very smart and one of the most instinctive linebackers in the league. Honestly most QB's in the NFL probably end up making that pass, and Burfict makes the tackle that exact same way and no one talks about it. However that is what makes Brady the GOAT, he does what the majority of other QB's can't or don't do. Instead of settling for just trying to get a first down, he pumped fake and was able to get an even bigger play.

Obviously the NFL didn't view it as dirty either.

Thanks for the lesson on what it's like playing in the NFL. How many years did you play?

Well if you include this year, it would be zero as well. :D

You're on IR, retroactive to 1990

Wrong retroactive to 1986 lol

The fine is exactly what I figured.

Is there any video or evidence that Burfict did indeed stomp on the back of Blount's leg? Or is the NFL just fining him based on the assumption that he must have stepped on him due to his reaction?

As an unbiased Bengal hater. I don't think there is any true evidence that he stepped on Blount.

It appeared to me he was stepping over something to get to the pile and try to pull Blount off of it.

I think his reputation is causing judgement issues.

However, I think the hit was a cheap shot. I have never seen an NFL player "faked out" enough to do that.

Looks like Tez has an ankle issue, not serious was reported.

Did he twist his ankle on Blount's calf muscle?

Has Blount commented on it yet and said Burfict stepped on him? If not I would be willing to bet, its because the reason he pushed him wasn't because Tez stepped on him. It was because Tez was pulling Blount up by the facemask, and that is what caused Blount to push him.

Blount really may have already commented on it saying he did. However I hadn't seen it yet, which is weird for a player not to comment if someone really did do something to him.

Maybe Blount realized, given his own spotty history, that he's not necessarily the most sympathetic figure in the general public's eye?

Possibly. Or he knows he didn't get stepped on and it was only the face mask thing that made him mad. Which obviously he is not going to defend Tez and say no he didn't step on me lol.
