Congrats to the Colonels....theyBirds had ZERO answer for A J Mayer and Casey McGinness. They steamrolled the Birds Defense all night long. The CovCath offensive line is very impressive as well.

 

They have some players and I can see them possibly meeting BG in the finals.

I predicted CCH 59-35 - CovCath got the TD instead of a FG.

 

This has to be hard for Highlands - it's not just losing, it's the total lack of physicality and competitive edge. CCH put up video game #'s on the ground.

 

Say what you want about the lack of talent, but you simply can't win if you can't tackle, and tackling is as much about desire as talent. Something at Highlands has to give...

I don't see any Cov Cath fans gloating. Most CCH fans I know realize that, although this is an important rivalry game, the bigger game happens in several weeks.

 

For the record, this isn't Cov Cath's 1st win versus Highlands this century, but this 'one' does feel good.

You really shouldn't be speaking of the defense as a whole. My son plays on the D line and he plays with his whole heart. Hurt or not he gives his all. It's not fair to all these kid's to listen to such comments. Changes need to be made but I'm very proud of my son #52 who I know gives his all.

If you compare them to HHS this year then yes. On a national level, no. Still the same NKY football. Would like to see another NKY program, while HHS is finally down, take the leap to being able to compete with good Cincinnati teams and national teams.

CCH couldnt stop that running back. And Desales is ranked #60 in the nation according to MaxPreps. CCH is great this year imo

That RB name was Booth and he has received a ton of offers but I was told he wants to attend Ohio State and has received a Preferred Walk on to attend Ohio State and BTW the running back from Sycamore that CovCath beat Bonner, is going to Illinois on a Scholarship.

 

You won't find a better RB in Kentucky than Booth. 6'1 245 and he will run through you, around you and once past you, you won't catch him.

End of the day high school sports are about having fun. If the kid wants to wear gold cleats let him be.

Do they even conduct full contact during practice anymore? With all the CTE issues today I am assuming they limit most contact to the games. Just curious as I haven't seen any practices.

CCH was a a couple feet on a long pass from being up 4 at half against Desales. Could a woulda but not dismantled. Just man among men running back.
