Nope, I think the lack of changes on the defense this year is an indictment of the coaches BUT Urban Meyer or Nick Saban aren't taking the current group at HHS and beating CCH IMO...

Sad day to be a Birds fan, dark times however, have to come to enjoy the bright times.

For team like Highlands seeming built on discipline and team work and tradition, the cleats did seem out of place Just one more small symptom of a systematic issue.

Congrats to the Colonels....theyBirds had ZERO answer for A J Mayer and Casey McGinness. They steamrolled the Birds Defense all night long. The CovCath offensive line is very impressive as well.

 

They have some players and I can see them possibly meeting BG in the finals.

Actually, yes, I am going to question a kid for wearing ridiculous looking cleats that reek of a "look at me" attitude in a team sport. Now I don't know the kid at all and he may be the best team player on the team...but it LOOKS bad. I will also question his coach EVEN MORE for letting him wear those cleats. Not a good look at all IMO. Oh, and by the way, my life is just fine...

 

End of the day high school sports are about having fun. If the kid wants to wear gold cleats let him be.

Absolutely not. Covcath is a very good team and they are loaded at the freshman level as well. Personally I think a high school coach should not be fired over W/L unless they are losing complete control of the team. I haven't seen Highlands this year, but as far as I know they are just outmatched.

No doubt a very good coach. And coaching is a lot easier when you have 3 D1 level talents on the field.
