Clinton vs. Trump - Track fivethirtyeight

I look forward to Nate Silver's daily updates as Hillary's chances plummet. It is going to be tough for him to get out of bed and go to work as new poll numbers pour in.

I think it's bizarre that literally everyone I know and every person I talk to says they are voting for Trump. He packs arenas all over America. He has stands with Trump apparel all over America. Hillary does nothing and I've never heard anyone outside of a message board say they want her to be the next President. Yet...the polls indicate a landslide in her favor. I don't understand.

You live in KY and you have traveled to the south. All Trump states. Go to NY state and NYC and poll them. Go to California and poll them. Go to Virginia and poll them. Even North Carolina is trending towards Hillary. Pennsylvania is slowly becoming a Hillary state and all of the North Eastern states are Hillary states. Hell, you're a Danville fan. Next home football game go get your own poll with that diverse Danville Admiral crowd and see how much half of the Danville crowd likes Trump. I see polls all of the time and no one has ever called me and put my choices in a poll. How many polls have called you? Who is participating in these polls? Not to mention, polls don't matter. Electoral votes do. Not the popular vote. Not the polls. Electoral votes. As of today Hillary has the electoral votes needed for her to win.

Hillary-78.8%

Trump-21.1%

It's kinda amazing that he's got a 1 in 5 chance of winning based on 538's projections.

I received my first Presidential Poll Call tonight, also asked about the Paul/Gray race.

You need to branch out and meet some new people. :lol2:

Actually, that is only half in jest. When half the people in the US are going to vote for Hillary and you don't know a single one, that does say something. I am not sure what, but it says something. Don't you think so? I know, I know ... you probably will say you like it that way or why would you want to know someone who will vote for Hillary, but I think it is good to hear and discuss different viewpoints.

Actually I give literally no thought to Clinton or Trump. I hate politics. I don't care what happens either way. It's just odd that everyone I see supports Trump and that anyone at all would ever support Clinton.

Or...just go to Louisville.

I find it odd Trump not only won the nomination but that people would actually vote for him only because Hillary is running.

You don't find it odd that someone would vote for a candidate currently under investigation by the FBI?

I could see a lot more people moving on from Trump if there was a legitimate 3rd option. There isn't.

Not if those same people are going to praise Ronald Reagan.

There isn't a legitimate option anywhere at all in this election. I still find the reasoning and logic behind pulling the lever for Trump as odd and in some situations I find it troubling.

Reagan has nothing to do with it.

Hillary has a mountain of lies, crime and corruption surrounding her. She has already risked our national security and lied about it to everyone...

If I were voting, which I'm not, I'd much rather take my chances with Trump over her.

How so? Reagan's time in the office actually has true incidents of lies, crime and corruption. His time has true convictions of people in his administration. His 8 years is marred by controversy and there is proof he risked our national security and lied about it. Why is he continually given pass after pass after pass but yet Hillary supporters are said to be living with blinders on when in all actuality she hasn't been convicted of anything and has only been investigated? It seems at worst she and some of her staff mishandled emails and the practice they engaged in still pales in comparison to what the George W. Bush staff did with their emails. How did she risk our national security? What exactly did she do?

I find it incredibly troubling that anyone would vote for either Hillary or Trump.

But that's what makes our country so great, people have the right to vote for whomever they choose, and we generally get what we deserve as a result.
