October 9, 201610 yr Well the Bengals have had even more embarrassing losses than this that they have bounced back from, during the last 5 years. I think we all assumed they would beat Dallas but lose to the Pat's. So if it ends up working out in reverse, then that is even better. However it's hard to see after today's game, but in the nfl you never know.
October 9, 201610 yr For Dallas todays game proved that leaving Romo and Bryant off the field makes your team way better. For the Bungles, the playoffs are not going to happen, like the Reds, the Bungles are going to have to start the rebuild plan.
October 9, 201610 yr This offensive line and defensive line got whipped. When that happens you get embarrassed. Simple as that. Dunlap and AJ should be opponent's focus and that will take care of it. I think the loss of Coordinators over the last few years have caught up with us. Eifert, Marvin Jones being here would make no difference in days like today. The o-line has regressed at an alarming rate.
October 10, 201610 yr Bengals had a long week to prepare and were clearly not ready to play this game today. Whipped in EVERY phase of the game including coaching... It is a long season and I try not to get too worked up over one game but I think the long playoff run may be over. Too bad the Bengals kept Marvin and let Zimmer go...
October 10, 201610 yr The rookies don't seem to know they're rookies. They've both made a believer out of me!
October 10, 201610 yr ANOTHER EMBARRASSING performance by the o-line, that's 5-5 so far, today the defense joined them with a totally EMBARRASSING performance, this team is in BIG trouble no fire, sloppy football every game, you can't get rid of the whole team so it's time for Marvin to go, change the culture!!
October 10, 201610 yr Whitt has to go, he cant move. He isnt out of his stance and the DL is inside him with a hand on Andy.
October 10, 201610 yr I am so happy I was busy today and missed almost all of this one. I am not surprised at all to see comments about our line play. I agree with Bengal Maniac's post above about the offensive line dropping off dramatically this year. Personally, I think it is more about they overperformed the last year or two than are underperforming this year. Dalton's quick release has hidden some issues in our line the last couple years.
October 10, 201610 yr I saw a clip of the 50 yard TD run by Elliott. I cannot believe how big that hole was. No linebackers or safeties to be seen. On that play, every running back in the NFL is scoring.
October 10, 201610 yr I saw a clip of the 50 yard TD run by Elliott. I cannot believe how big that hole was. No linebackers or safeties to be seen. On that play, every running back in the NFL is scoring. They were showing on NBC Sunday Night Football how they were lined up and attacked worried about Zak's running. When they keyed on Elliott in the red zone, Zak took it outside. Just flat out was better prepared than the Bengals. Game planning has been awful the last few weeks.
