Holy Cross's quarterback is not too old. He is a freshman. Don't know where that rumor got started. New Richmond cancelled the game this week, but Holy Cross Freshman are practicing and ready for the championship game.

who is coaching the Freshman? I know Mark Bowman is a long time varsity assistant of Eckstein and he has tremendous football knowledge.

Judging by Ludlow's record, if this were true and they really were using sophmore's, it isn't working. Stick with the freshman.

Usually happens in 1A or 2A schools and I have known about it since I was a kid. I've never heard of it happening when the other coach didn't know about it in advance. It's usually a gentlemans agreement to go ahead and play so the other team field a team. Otherwise you woulld have to scratch the game, and no one wants that. Schedules are usually made a few years in advance, so picking up a replacement would be very hard.
