Russell vs Ashland moved to Saturday night

Featured Replies

Most people that are complaining about the move seem to be from Russell. I have thought about this and I have figured it out. They are worried that moving the game to Saturday will give Boyd County a chance to scout them in person.

I heard that BC's field is under water. Are they away tonight? Boyd Co. dismissed early today due to high water.

What is there to scout. We have basically ran the same offense for 27 years. You know what we bring you just have to figure out how to stop. Unfortunatly Boyd Co did last year.:irked:

Just trying to lighten the mood. I don't know about Boyd's game either. I am thankful for the rain.

Boyd Co.'s field is not under water... yet. BC is home.

It's not about safety.

It's not about vacations.

It is about the almighty $$$$$$. This is their biggest gate, so they want to make sure the most people possible will attend, no matter what. Who cares about anything else.

Pathetic.

IMO the game should be played tonight. That is what football is about. A few fair weather fans may stay at home, but not many.

I disagree. I think it was moved so the field isn't destroyed for the rest of the season. Like Kick stated, Ashland still has the rest of the season to play on the field. Moving the game tomorrow night will help in keeping the field in better shape IMO.

Wasn't the weather worse last year when Mason County traveled to Ashland? If I remember correctly it rained the whole day and it also rained the entire game. I believe this was the game that Guru traveled to Ashland last year to snap some photos of the game.

Yes you're right, it's about the money.

Yeah, and the fact that your family eats like it's a family reunion all the time. :D :D

Hey now!!

You need to leave my personal habits out of this. :irked:

You are correct in that that was the game that theguru traveled to Ashland, but the weather wasn't as bad leading up to the game, and it didn't rain the whole game.

This field also affects a lot of other programs in the Ashland system. We can't afford to have more than 1 field in the system like others. :D

I was in attendance and I was thinking it rained the entire game but as old as I am my memory isn't as good as it once was.

Join the crowd. Well at least some of the crowd. :irked:

I only remember because I had to carry theguru's umbrella around when it was raining.  I would say that it rained for about half the game.
