Regrets...do you have them?

Featured Replies

Sure. I agree with the sentiment that everyone has a least a few.

I don't know that's the same as "I'd go back and change them" because everything that's happened to this point makes me the man I am now, but sure, there are things I regret.

Like throwing that brick through the TV Saturday night?

No, the TV is fine. I tried to throw the brick through the TV but it dropped about a yard short of the screen.

If I could've rolled out there looking like Bobby Jones... I would have.

Most of mine are small. I would say the biggest would probably be not finishing college. The funny thing about that is if I had finished I probably wouldn't have the job I do today and I probably make as much if not more had I finished.

I've got so many, it would be depressing even to name a few. However, this "older generation" guy did all he could to make sure his kids did not repeat his transgressions and bad decisions.

Didn't finish my master's degree. But I probably wouldn't have ended up in a job where I could (make no mistake, money will probably always be a little tight) retire just after my 53rd birthday, either.

Hundreds....some, what I did, others, what I failed to do. Most are small, a few that were big. From 1987 to 2000 I lived life with my foot on the gas.

From 1984 to 1993 I was on rocket fuel.

I have a couple of career decisions I regret. I have some personal decisions from when I was younger that I definitely regret and I have plenty of regrets for past actions at work (mostly temper related).

My biggest regret is not punching a guy in the face at a kiosk in the Opry Mills Mall about 14 years ago? I've lost sleep over it and just thinking about it now, I'm sure has spiked my blood pressure.

But as Getslow said, Everything has made the person that I am today...for the "most" part, I like that guy.

Okay, we've gotta hear this story now....

Would I hit the "reset" button on some things? Oh yes, most definitely yes, on many, many things. But real regrets, only one. Never got to be a dad. That one still stings even after all these years.

None that I spend any time thinking about...
