Regrets...do you have them?

Featured Replies

The discussion about tattoos in another thread got me to thinking about this.

I have had conversations with people who have told me they have no regrets whatsoever about anything they did or didn't do in their life. What?! Do I have regrets? Sure. Now having regrets and dwelling on them are two different things. I don't dwell on the regrets I have...but they are there for sure.

So do you have regrets? And if you say no, please explain.

I had an opportunity to be a manager for the Men's Basketball team when I was at UofL. At times I regret that, but I would know literally none of the people I do now, so I'm not sure how much I really regret it.

I'm sure I have some, but off the top of my head I can't think of any specific regrets.

And bad mistakes, I've made a few...

We all have regrets. Most of mine made because of the lack of filter between my brain and my mouth.

I think literally everyone has some kind of regret. How much it affected you or your life determines whether or not most consider it being real.

And bad mistakes, I've made a few...

Even champions do.

Even champions do.

I was hoping someone would finish the song with me. :lol2:

Plenty of them. Occasionally I could dwell on one but for the most part I'm pretty positive. Like spindock says most involve saying something. I'm sure alcohol has never helped me make a decision I regretted. LOL

Yes. Some pretty sizable ones, and ones that affect me to this day. I can understand people who have regrets but don't dwell on them - or otherwise feel that while they regretted something they are OK with where they ended up and wouldn't change anything for fear of screwing up what they have now. I can understand people like myself who at times are tortured by regrets of the past. But someone with absolutely nothing they regret? I think that's disingenuous. EVERYONE has things they wish they could take back, or something they wish they had done, or said, etc. Even if it's a small regret, it's there.

Too few to mention

I was hoping someone would finish the song with me. :lol2:

But I did it MMMMYYYYY WAAAAYYY!

Hundreds....some, what I did, others, what I failed to do. Most are small, a few that were big. From 1987 to 2000 I lived life with my foot on the gas.

Sure. I agree with the sentiment that everyone has a least a few.

I don't know that's the same as "I'd go back and change them" because everything that's happened to this point makes me the man I am now, but sure, there are things I regret.
