As was said before, they are probably bound into contracts at this point in time. It is possible they could buy out of these contracts, but it remains to be seen whether that would be the best thing financially for the team. I'm not sure HHS will jump through hoops for OJ like NCH did.

And to be honest, WV was the state that let him be held back a year after already started a higher grade originally anyway, so the State of WV should be required by law to let him play, since it was their fault to start with.

I bet they wouldnt have to buy out the contract to play Ashland. I am sure Ashland's AD is trying to squirm out of this game as we speak, he would probably buy out that game himself right now.

 

Personally, I hope the game stands:D But I am sure it wont.

BTW, didnt HHS have a lot of Coach/Parent/Player issues last year? Is all of this drama gonna help matters any?

They were pretty good before him and they were willing to play. Don't know if that matters. Were they on any other 16th region schedule before? Just curious.

From what I read in the Herald Leader, it doesn't sound like Patterson's mother is welcoming OJ with open arms. She says that they won't go to the same college. It doesn't sound like they are wanting the circus to be in town all basketball season.
