I agree with you completely, westsider. There is enough fault to cover all directions including in the direction of Rose Hill. My concern is that a bigtime sports witer from Cincinnati doesn't seem to have a grasp on reality.

Daugherty sounds more like a homer who realizes that he no longer has the NCH circus to write about. To be honest, I have never before heard of NCH and Nickel being deemed as victims. On the other hand, I have heard them called prostitutes looking for a front seat on the gravy train being driven by the cash cow.

I do too, and I think this is only about the second article he has ever written NCH.He has prettymuch stayed out of the fray. I dont blame him from staying away from the circus. Daughtery is right on...imo!!

Boys, I reread the story and you are probably right. I misinterpreted the statement about North College Hill embracing Mayo and Walker. I assumed the reference was to the school but I believe the writer was referring to the community as a whole. I think the community probably did embrace the boys without overriding ulterior motives. However, I still believe the school, including the AD, used them. Of course, when you consider the "handlers" efforts, the "using" worked in both directions.

I guess since he was only 15 or 17, or however old he was at the time. He shouldnt be expected to know this is wrong. And you can defend OJ all you want but when all of these things take place, you cant blame people for the negative views they have towards him. Billy, OJ, and probably the rest of us, should be thankful that God will be judging us rather than uknowho1. But, then, if we didn't perceive, judge (and prejudge) these events differently, BGP would be rather boring. I don't think uknowho1 knows anything about the Mayo Saga other than what he reads, is told by others, and concludes on his own but I certainly defend his right to opine. After all, factual information and direct knowledge can get in the way of what we want to believe. Its kind of like Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews on MSNBC.

Scott County has a home and away game scheduled with Huntington this season. That is going to be exciting. When they come to Scott Co. they are going to try to play the game at Memorial Coliseum. On 1 team you have Patterson, Mayo, and another D1 player I believe. On the other you have Jr Bud Mackey, who UK and IU have already offered, Sr Matt Walls, who is going to be a D-1 player somewhere, and Jr. Jordan Lee who is a nice prospect. This should be a very entertaining game!

He was all state as a middle schooler playing varsity ball. However, in WV and KY, you can play varsity basketball from middle school on if you choose. You have 8 semesters once you begin high school, but he played before he was in high school. If it were football or soccer, he would not be eligible. But in every other sport, he would as those are the only 2 considered as 'contact' sports.

And I believe in your situation it's actually what you want to believe and bias that gets in the way of the facts. All im saying is quit treating these two like cancer patients. I know, you know and the rest know that these two arent inocent little victims. And your attempts to portray them in this way is a lost cause by now.
