Featured Replies

If Huntington High needs to move to a larger gym maybe they could play at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena it has a new floor.

I post this merely to pass along updated information. What will happen tomorrow? Only God knows and I believe He is getting somewhat confused.

While this case is the extreme, its not uncommon for high school kids to live with another family just to play b-ball for the school of their choice. We're seeing it at SK now, right?

That's news to me?

The article in The Independent indicated that Dwaine Barnes has moved back to Huntington.[/QUOTE][/b]

Isnt he the guy that was his stepdad in the 5th grade, his real dad in the 6th grade, his uncle in the 7th grade, his second cousin in the 8th grade and im not sure but I think for the past few years he has been his aunts' cousins' boyfriend. As for an earlier post about OJ playing for the USA, im sure he would love to as long as Canada didnt offer him something better.

I do believe that you all have lost what is important here and a few real facts.

O.J. is a child in a mans body that is being ruled and showcased by a group of adult men . He doesn't( and didn't )have a say in alot of what has been going on these past several years . If he does get to come back to WVa. I am sure his mother will try to have some control and influence on him .I feel that SPORTZ ADDICT is wrong with saying the luggage and drama HE causes. It is all the adults around him plus lets not forget all the jealous adults and Athletic Directors in the area . If adults would of left him alone he would still be at Rose Hill ,finishing his senior year. And getting a good Christian Education.

I think it is a weak move by OJ. One that may hinder UK's recruitment of Patrick Patterson.

That's easy for you to say.

I really don't see how schools get excited and proud of state championships that are made up as all-star teams.

I gotta agree. It's kind of like that Elliott kid moving into Pendleton County to play with his AAU buddies, and then being proud of a regional championship.:D

Is that a good thing or bad thing?

If he did move, I'd say it's a good thing for Cincinnati, and a bad thing for wherever he ends up.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported this morning that OJ is leaving NCH to enroll at HHS. The article quotes both Mayo and NCH AD, Joe Nickel. This move is clearly in OJ's best interests. For those who may say this is a selfish move, I would submit that, if he doesn't look out for his best interests, who in this soap opera will do so? He is returning to his home area where he has many who care about him. Good for him.

 Kind of throws the "OJ always finishes what he starts" statement out the window doesn't it. I love all the outright honest truthfulness.

I would say when it all comes down to it, momma OJ is just as guilty as anyone else as far as being involved in the OJ circus up to this point.

I think they meant "he finishes the year where he starts it." :D

I posted the Olympic comment. You bring up an interesting point about Canada. If OJ played in Canada this year and they had some marked up documents about citizenship he could then choose who to play for in international competition and cash in big time. I think that he should leave Cincunington and look up prep schools in Canada.

 Yeah, your probably right. I guess it's a loyalty thing passed down from generation to generation.
