Is Louisville THE Premiere Men's Athletic School In The NCAA?

Featured Replies

Their #10 ranked football team just absolutely dismantled a #2 Florida State team 63-20, handing FSU their worst loss in program history. The Cards finished at #9 in the final 2013 FBS rankings and at #25 in the final 2012 FBS rankings.

Their men's basketball team has had 7 Sweet Sixteen appearances, 6 Elite Eight appearances, 3 Final Four appearances and 1 National Championship win in the last fifteen years.

Their baseball team has finished ranked at #5, #7, and #13 nationally in the last three years, respectively.

Men's soccer, tennis and XC are also strong.

Good chance, who else would be in the conversation?

U of L softball the past 6-7 years as been ranked in the Top 50, with a nice run of Top 25 appearances.

Football & basketball is all that anybody cares about at the collegiate level, but they would certainly be in the mix for that. Michigan State & Oregon would be there too.

They would have to be in the conversation.

This. Get to the FF in football and hoops a couple times before the decade is out and I'll be a believer.

Stanford is always good in almost everything.

Except basketball

Except basketball

They are decent to good most years.
