State report says Boyle BOE interfered in Smith's hiring

Featured Replies

Can Mr.Tamme go around to a few more districts and interfere with their hiring process instead? Maybe he can be available to help Barnhardt out sometime in the future.

Siri doesn't tell Chuck Smith to turn around. She changes her destination to wherever Chuck Smith goes.

Sounds to me like a minor infraction. It also sounds like the Boyle County school and community are committed to having the best football program for their kids. If anything, this situation makes Steve Tamme a hero for the Rebel faithful. Steve took one for the team to bring back a coaching legend/great coach.

I understand, but I don't like the statute. A quality football program has a lot of moving parts and requires substantial resources/extensive cooperation. If the Board Chairman is all in and supportive of the program, that is a good thing to me.

Correct me if I am wrong.... most people realize the importance and the benefits of a successful football & athletic program. But, few school administrators will come out and say it because they will be criticized.

I could be wrong.... but I bet supporters of successful programs read this and say..."that is how it works if you want a program."

Wow, what about those 3 losses this year.

That's because Boyle County doesn't even have a football team. But, everyone is too scared to tell Chuck Smith.

This thread is hilarious for a lot of reasons. Do we have confirmation on who from the car is the one who turned in Boyle County for the violation?

If they aren't offering monetary values or gifts, who cares if they want him back??

No, but Chuck Smith is looking for him to kick him in the back of the face. Think about that, "the back of the face".

Little know fact: There used to be five downs in football. Chuck Smith once when for it on fifth down and didn't get it, fifth down has not been seen since.

Random question...why Bardstown? He lived in Lexington, just took a job in Richmond and was trying to be persuaded to come to Boyle County. Bardstown isn't in that triangle at all or maybe that was the point.

He was an assistant coach at Bardstown at the time.

This report confirms to me what was a rumor at the time and that Boyle County was going after Chuck before Larry French had left Boyle County.

Superman is not the only one who wears Chuck Smith pajamas. Mr. Tamme does also. :lol2:

That news escaped me. It was also during a time I wasn't on BGP. Shows how much the non bgp people are missing out on!

Mr. Smith was here in Bardstown for a year, looking after his parents, who live here. While laying low, he worked out a deal and coached the Tigers defense and taught special ed, and we at Bardstown are grateful for the time he spent with us.
