September 11, 201610 yr Dalton was under pressure all day and still threw for 366. Outstanding performance for big Red. He may stink it up next week but he came through today. AD and AJ were lights out!!!! BTW, some embarrassing comments in the update thread, as usual. Yes and no. Some of the comments were right on. The main disappointment for Dalton for me is, he took 2 huge sacks when he had time to get rid of the ball and those could have cost them around 10 points. He still is not good when his first read is taken away. However when his first read is not taken away, he was on the money. Good win today in a tough environment.

His numbers were good but he had some big time mistakes also that you can't overlook. mistakes a veteran QB can't be making. I didn'gt see any embarrasing commetns in the update thread, and btw if you aren't brave enough to comment in the update thread during the game then don't bother commenting about those that do. We don't hide until the game is over and then play back seat driver. either man up or stay away from that thread.
September 11, 201610 yr Big win in a very tough environment... It was described as "play off - like" environment... Let's hope that's a good sign for the future. Opening on the road against a very good Jets team with all the emotion from an opening day NY crowd remembering 9-11; yeah, I'll take a close win.
September 11, 201610 yr Don't wank them to blitz every down, just a little more. I hate it on semi long yardage, that the QB has all day and usually finds someone. Don't get me wrong, our defense is not that bad.
September 11, 201610 yr What's the franchise record for sacks allowed in a game? Five in the first half alone. Obviously that needs to be fixed. Can someone with more knowledge than myself please explain why they weren't using a RB to chip or stay and block?
September 11, 201610 yr Also I have to eat my words. AD and Nugent came through in the clutch. Hopefully this is a positive take to use in the playoffs.
September 12, 201610 yr About week ten and thereafter, I think we all are going to look back and say that was a heck of a win today for the Bengals. The Jets are going to be a playoff team and the Bengals beat them on their field in the high emotion 9/11 opener.

With Burfict and Eifert out, we needed this one.

I'm sorry, but that's embarrassing. You should apologize, friend.
