A young man by the name of Grant Hotchkiss may have something to say about that. Very impressed with his game at the JV and Fresh level.

 

I have to agree Grant impressed me more than Reed did Monday night and I'm a Reed Lanter fan. Hotchkiss is the total package I'd hate to be the coach to have to make the decision of which one is going to be the starter. One thing Grant has that Reed dosen't if you flush him out of the pocket he's going to make you pay for it with his running ability.

I have the schedule on my phone but for whatever reason I can't get it to upload. They play Mercer away the 12th Lincoln away the 19th, and western hills at home the 26th. I don't see any team beating the freshman or JV this year.

and those should all be JV followed by Frosh games, so you will get to see a lot of the up and coming Rebels.

I have a question for all of you who voted for Danville in the poll did you do so because Danville is 2-0 and Boyle is 0-2 Do you think Danville would have faired any better with Boyle's schedule? Did you know with the exception of the QB position Danville lost as many starters to graduation as Boyle did? Do you think depth will play a role in this game since Boyle dresses between 75 and 80 players and Danville dresses 40 to 45?

 

I've not seen Danville this year but I have looked at stats and highlights for whatever those are worth. I picked Danville in the poll, but I've went back and forth on this one, because of some of the points you make, and because I feel that there are players who have yet to make an impact for Boyle, that could pick no better game to do so.

 

The QB and receiver play for Danville has been outstanding this young season. All though I do not believe they will come close to 300 yards passing against Boyles secondary, it is a huge advantage they hold over the Rebels. I'm going to quit waffling and say if Dampier is held to less than 150 yards passing in this game, Boyle comes away with the win. Otherwise to me it's s toss up.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some new faces on the field for Boyle this week against the Ads which could change some things. Boyle from what I hear possibly this week or shortly there after Boyle will become a different looking team personnel wise especially if Boyle takes a loss this week. Win or lose this week, by mid season Boyle could become dangerous. They are freshman who would get the call but I have heard from others,the coaches think there may be possibly 9 or 10 future college football players in the freshman class and possibly 3 or 4 division 1 players within that group. With that being said, at this point in the season I feel Danville will win this one. If it's mid October- Boyle wins this game by a couple of scores.

Wow with 9-10 potential college players and 3-4 Division 1 players in one class it seems like there should be double digit freshmen starters. Does anyone have any stats for the Advocate Area teams how many kids from the area played college football last year and how many D-1 players came out of Lincoln, Garrard, Mercer, Boyle and Danville last year? I hope we have 50 players from the area in a given year move on and play college football but 10-15 from one school in one class is a very strong statement.

Really wish I could come down for this game. I came down with my grandpa to meet my uncle and other relatives living in Danville at the time to watch these two play quite a while back. One of the funner rivalry games in KY to watch.

I agree. But these Freshmen aren't 14. They are turning 16 this year which is the age of normal sophomores. 16 year olds that are college/D1 material. I am agreeing with the above post that if you have that many legit college players on a team that is struggling then they probably should be playing.

No, I'm not being sarcastic. Boyle is one of the two teams I'll be watching pretty much all season. Just trying to get familiar with them.
