I have a question for all of you who voted for Danville in the poll did you do so because Danville is 2-0 and Boyle is 0-2 Do you think Danville would have faired any better with Boyle's schedule? Did you know with the exception of the QB position Danville lost as many starters to graduation as Boyle did? Do you think depth will play a role in this game since Boyle dresses between 75 and 80 players and Danville dresses 40 to 45?

I voted for Danville because I've actually watched Danville play.

I think this is Danville's best chance to win in quite some time. I also think that if they don't win this game then it could be a few to several years before they win this game again.

I have to agree :thumb: This year is Danville's best chance in some time to get a win. The next 3 years for sure will be heavly favored towards the Rebels. I just don't know what to expect this weekend and feel this game is 50/50 right now.

Why do you think that? Danville only has 3 seniors. They return 9 on Offense and 10 on defense next year.

Because Boyle County will return pretty much everybody next season as well and Danville will be breaking in new QB Zach Thornton next year. I know Zach has a lot of promise and I look forward to watching his progress. This Boyle County team will be seasoned while Danville will be replacing a leader. I give the edge to Boyle for the next 3-5 years without blinking.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some new faces on the field for Boyle this week against the Ads which could change some things. Boyle from what I hear possibly this week or shortly there after Boyle will become a different looking team personnel wise especially if Boyle takes a loss this week. Win or lose this week, by mid season Boyle could become dangerous. They are freshman who would get the call but I have heard from others,the coaches think there may be possibly 9 or 10 future college football players in the freshman class and possibly 3 or 4 division 1 players within that group. With that being said, at this point in the season I feel Danville will win this one. If it's mid October- Boyle wins this game by a couple of scores.

I've heard Boyle Middle school is struggling this year, I know Boyle has an awesome Freshman and Sophomore class, but when those classes graduate then what? 3 years maybe, but 5 I dont see it.

The 8th grade class has some really good players but it's a limited class. The 7th grade class for BCMS is pretty solid as is Danvilles. BCMS is struggling a little because ZERO of this years 8th grade class played A Team last year because of the grade above them (Frosh this year). There are 3-5 7th graders that have to "play up" on the A Team this year at some key positions. Plus there have been a couple of injuries to key 8th graders that have just returned to the team this week. Trust me, by seasons end BCMS will be in the hunt for the Salt River Conf title.

 

The 5/6 grade Woodlawn and Perryville teams ARE LOADED with some really good players. I seriously doubt either lose a game this year. 7th grade class went 12-0 last year and pounded two other undefeated teams last year from Clark and Jessamine counties. They beat Danville 5/6 grade 14-0.

The way I understand it when Reed Lanter takes over as QB when he is finished his little brother will take over at QB and everything I am hearing is that he is pretty good himself. That will make any Boyle fan feel warm and fuzzy inside.
