Well it's Danville/Boyle week here in Titletown, KY. Danville enters the game 2-0 coming off a big win vs 5A Southwestern and Boyle is coming in 0-2 after a couple of tough games vs 6A North Hardin and 6A Lafayette. Boyle has won 3 straight in the series and 7 out of the last 8. Danville is looking to put Boyle to 0-3 for the first time since 2007. Is this the year Danville regains the yearly bragging rights or will Boyle continue their reign of Titletown?

Boyle gets their first win of the season Friday.

I have a feeling Danville gets a win this season but it's hard to pick against the Rebels at home. I'll take Danville this year in a great game.

It's rivalry week, all the Boyle/Danville fall sports teams are playing. Volleyball on Tuesday, soccer teams on Thursday.

 

Going to be a fun week in Title Town.

Should be a good one, I'm going with the Ads in what should be a close game.

Sigh......yes. Yes it is.

I'm going Danville 34-14. I still believe with Boyle's offensive woes and losing the only real downfield threat Boyle had in Smith just not enough offense to win this one. I feel Boyle will struggle this year to be above 500 unless the young kids are ready to go later in the season. With Danville,Anderson,Catholic,Collins,Dunbar still on the schedule, those games are all winnable but serves to be challenge.

I think this can be a great game. I remember last year there was a feeling Danville would win and they got beat at the line of scrimmage as Dampier never was able to get comfortable to access his weapons. If Dampier gets time to make passes then there will be problems for Boyle County.

 

I'm curious to know how past success at the little league and middle school level with this current group of kids has played out in the past. I wonder if that could have a mental affect on either team. Does anyone know past results?

A friend of mine told me that the current seniors on Danville lost every game as 8th graders.
