Wow how many NKY teams have taken down the birds in the last 2 seasons? Congrats Camels.

It's going to be a challenge to get 2 of those 3.

My observations:

1. The Camels D is legit, with a nice mix of veteran talent and sophomore starters

2. Highlands passing game needs a lot of work if they hope to contend

3. Camels QB had some throws he'd like to have back but made the plays he absolutely had to make

4. That 90 yard TD pass from Hoeh to Mayer was beautiful

5. Camels have finally found their kicker

6. Alex Dowds is one tough runner and pounded the HHS defense in the 2nd half

7. Even though there were a handful of personal fouls on both teams, my son said that almost every player on the field for both teams kept their mouth shut and played hard

8. The Camels are a much improved team and they are going in the right direction

9. The sky is not falling in Ft. Thomas and the Birds will work hard to be ready for November

10. This was a very exciting game to watch with multiple momentum shifts and high drama at the end

Can anyone explain to me what is the deal with the CC kicker situation??

Good job Camels.. Just keep believing in Coach Lickert and what he is doing to improve CC.

Congrats to the Camels! I said in the pregame thread this was not going to be a gimme game by any means. Birds don't have any room for error this year and will not cruise through anyone.

 

Camels have steadily been getting better the last couple years and have played the Birds tight. Great win for the program and they do have some talent coming! Nice job Camels! I'm a closet Camels fan. Love seeing them get better.

 

As for all the haters...get them in now! We told you these couple years were coming. We have also told you to be careful, because help is on the way and Bluebird fans have long memories!

 

And just an observation...see a couple Cov Cath fans jumping on the pile. Hmmm??? I don't get that one.

Congrats to the Camels. Coach Lickert has to be encouraged by how they played.

 

Hopefully the Birds learn from this and get back on track. Saw a lot I didn't like last night but nothing that can't be corrected.
