If you were the "average guy" in an Olympic event as a point of reference...

I think I could help out on a rowing team. I mean, how hard is it to keep doing what the person in front of you and behind you are doing?

In the winter Olympics, I guess I could figure out that game where they slide the big disc down ice and sweep it. Surely I could figure out how to not embarrass myself there

Curling. I bet @rockmom would be good at that. sweeping-smiley-emoticon.gif

At the speed and intensity they are doing it for 2000M, extremely.

Guarantee I can play handball.

I used to consider myself pretty good in racquet ball. Till I played a person who was trying to qualify for an Olympic exhibition team. Totally humbled.

Six months? Give me six beers and a hype beat and I'll have the crowd in a frenzy on the floor routine. Might post the lowest score in Olympics gymnastics history, but I guarantee I wouldn't be embarrassed about it.

50m free for sure. Right now I'm about 8 seconds off the gold with little swimming yardage.

Would be awesome to have the coaches and trainers for six months.

I'd probably still end up about 5 - 6 seconds off. Would be a lot of fun though.

There isn't one. Until they make "sitting and watching the Olympics" an Olympic sport, I'm out.

I was a fair swimmer when I was younger, but I haven't done so much as a lap since early high school.

Sounds great. I volunteer to be your trainer.

I'll be 8 seconds behind you lol. I chose the 50m free simply because it would just require going to the other side. I can manage that lol. Plus, its a fun event. I consider it the swimming version of the 100m sprint.

My dad always says Michael Phelps would be at the end of the pool before he was even wet!

I did see someone today who wouldn't have embarrassed me in the 100 meters in my prime. Everyone else would have been at the finish line waiting on us but he wouldn't have smoked me.

I'm an awful swimmer, so no chance in that. I'm decently quick for my size but won't be able to compete in a spring and I don't run distances. I have no ability to do any gymnastics.

I've played some beach volleyball against guys that were playing on a professional tour, and I'm nowhere near good enough there.

I'd say my best sport of any Olympic sport listed would be basketball. I'm confident I'd be able to get a few good fouls in but would be 100% overmatched at any position on the floor.

Ruling out all track & field events, all swimming events & all gymnastic events, I'm left with archery and rugby. Out of those two, I'd pick Rugby (and I have no experience playing Rugby...)

I read and watched a video of the average person trying to get in the Olympic swimsuits. It took 5 of them an average of 33 minutes to just get the suit on. And two of them ripped the suit. I guess these aren't your average suits.
