With one of the most contentious elections in recent history upon us and the conventions for both parties coming up, have to wonder how these conventions will play out, outside of the arenas.

Many are expecting violent protest in Cleveland during the RNC next week. Some members of the media are reportedly taking ballistic vest with them to Cleveland, expecting there to be trouble.

I've read less about expected violence at the upcoming DNC the next week, but of course there is an opportunity for violence there as well.

Both will have protests, but I see the RNC as the most likely to have violence.

Ohio has open carry laws outside the arena. That sounds scary to me.

Gun Owners with a permit can open or conceal carry in Philly also...only difference is you have to have a pre-approved permit.

It will be at the RNC, but it will be Hillary voters who instigate it.

The same groups who caused trouble at previous Trump events will try to do the same.

My only hope for both conventions is that law enforcement does not let things get out of control. Zero tolerance for any violence.

Good chance of violence inside the RNC convention. Trump's "muscle" boys aren't going to tolerate any spontaneous demonstrations.

Outside the convention hall, I see it as a 50-50 chance for both parties. Inside the convention hall, more likely at Republican convention by a landslide.

Better chance of upheaval inside the DNC in my opinion than the RNC...scorned Bernie Supporters won't sit quietly.

Outside I think there is a 75% chance or better that Democrat Protesters turn violent...overturned police cars, rock throwing and damage to local businesses would not surprise me.

At the RNC by all of the liberal paid protestors.

At the RNC by all of the liberal paid protestors.

That is the difference...there won't be "paid" protestors at the DNC. There will be some/many at the RNC. I do wonder if any Bernie supporters will do much at the DNC. I doubt it. Now if Crazy Bernie would not have endorsed HRC this week, then the DNC may have been more interesting.
