It was in the BLM Statement link that Habib posted.

Here is the statement:

The Black Lives Matter Network advocates for dignity, justice, and respect.

In the last few days, this country witnessed the recorded murders of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile at the hands of police, the latest victims in this country’s failed policing system. As we have done for decades, we marched and protested to highlight the urgent need to transform policing in America, to call for justice, transparency and accountability, and to demand that Black Lives Matter.

In Dallas, many gathered to do the same, joining in a day of action with friends, family, and co-workers. Their efforts were cut short when a lone gunman targeted and attacked 11 police officers, killing five. This is a tragedy–both for those who have been impacted by yesterday’s attack and for our democracy. There are some who would use these events to stifle a movement for change and quicken the demise of a vibrant discourse on the human rights of Black Americans. We should reject all of this.

Black activists have raised the call for an end to violence, not an escalation of it. Yesterday’s attack was the result of the actions of a lone gunman. To assign the actions of one person to an entire movement is dangerous and irresponsible. We continue our efforts to bring about a better world for all of us.

I guess BGP allows it too since it didn't make the Word Filter---Edit Your Post in the statement.

I read it and didn't see it.

It's in the "who we are" link. Check out the "about us" and "our herstory" links from there.

Just a moment...

It was a linked story to the side of the main story...that's where she saw it.

Found it. You do understand they are talking about themselves when they say that?

And since we are going through their website can we all stop saying BLM was founded on a lie when the truth is that BLM was founded after Trayvon Martin and not Mike Brown?

Found it. You do understand they are talking about themselves when they say that?

Oh I know. I just find it odd.

No one truly involved with BLM has called for violence. In fact.....

Just because someone black says something stupid doesn't mean they are in BLM.

Again, this is the problem....the people claiming the be spokespersons are being quoted in both print and news outlets and have called for violence....

I'm not making it up and just because they may not be truly "spokespersons" doesn't mean that they are not being associated with BLM and that their behavior is not whipping up others in their call for violence.

Very much like the "association" between the Muslim religion and ISIS factions.....the two cannot be separated when they are entwined....

This is not me creating a picture, it's a picture that's being delivered over and over and over in the media...where we all get our information.

I'm not blaming @PurplePride92 or @TheDeuce, I feel pretty confident I know you guys....I'm saying the problematic issue gets perpetuated and there does not seem to be a way to control it within the BLM organization

We see and hear different things. Maybe one day we'll see and hear the same things.

Thank you. Didn't say I hadn't seen anything, just that I had seen anything..yet

Considering you had dug up a few links already, it seems like in your eagerness to label them a terrorist group you sought out any evidence of protesters making violent statements, but didn't bother to look for or consider any evidence to the contrary. I think that's a little tendentious, considering what a serious claim you're making.

What do tendons have to do with anything?

Is the Bureau of Land Management gonna have to change their name to avoid confusion?

So again, using your logic, we can assume that all cops are prejudiced towards minorities, because a few of them have spoken out about, and/or used unnecessary force?

I'm out of this arguement. All I do know is there is a lot of hate out there in places I haven't been too and don't care if I ever go.
