As a whole, no. I do have a problem when they don't allow cars through that are headed to the hospital or castigate people who are simply in the area during a BLM protest. I'm against all acts that aren't positive to humanity. I'd love to see every chapter of BLM act like they have some sense. Unfortunately not all of them do sensible things. This whole attitude that all of BLM is horrible because of isolated incidents doesn't make sense when if people did more than Google 'BLM violence protest'. Maybe then they'd see about the time a BLM protest turned into a cookout with the police or how the cops in Phoenix have began having meetings with BLM so they can find a peaceful way to work together to improve the community. Together. People can be pro BLM and pro police. I live that life everyday. The narrative used to be that people can't call all republicans racist just because a few senators may have said racist things or things perceived as racist. Same rules should apply for BLM. If not, let me know.

So does this mean blacks can go back to calling all republicans racist? Let us know.

Further more I'm a white, christian, republican, know a ton of white republicans, a ton of black democrats, want to take a guess on who is focused on race the most and who never brings it up? Want to guess who uses derogitive terms for the other race when the others never have? They wouldn't let an old man walk on the sidewalk because he was white. If it's not appropriate for it to be the other way around how is this acceptable? Because you're mad about the police you take it out on ordinary citizens? The people your mistreating have no authority to change police behavior. It's acting stupid and childish. Do you think he is more sensative to plight of the black man now that he was treated that way? Do you think he now has disdain for BLM? How does alienating 70% of the population help the cause? It's tantamount to a child throwing a fit. My statements only bring the wrong to light and you know it. Why would to give them a pass for their behavior and defend it with such a statement as you have? Do you think I would give a white person a pass who acted like that? Your comment only furthers the divide amongst healthy conversations about the issues. Black people and white people should not get a pass on lawlessness because your mad about something. You truly don't know me and you shouldn't. I and the people I know in my world and larger circle shoot your racist Republican theory to shreds.... I am the primary responsible and the direct caregiver for as many black people as you are. It's possible to be critical of someones behavior withought being racist, it's called being an adult. You want to make a statement protest at city hall. Block that. Block the police station. Blocking hiways and sidewalks and barring " white people" from using them because they are white is like saying it's ok abuse black people because they are black. They are making a determination on how to treat someone because of color which is undermining the argument. If the movement wants to go tit for tat with the police you will have your 15 minutes of fame but at the end of the day you lose. It has to be a thought out political response, this terrorizing neighborhoods with lawlessness is not the answer. While most of the protest are ok. The ones that get out of control and turn into a racist fit must be stopped and condemned. Withought the fits and the posturing I hear you. I feel the gravity of the situation. My sons have to go out in the world and deal with cops too. I'm teaching them to be noncombative, to comply with respect and withought the attitude so they can arrive alive. We'll deal with any wrongs that might have occurred later. Living is the end game.

They have no idea who's in those cars, where they need to be, etc. Some people don't have time to call an ambulance.

They have no idea who's in those cars, where they need to be, etc. Some people don't have time to call an ambulance.

The biggest problem BLM has is that it is a movement without any structure. It is it's own worst enemy. The bad actions of "the few" may be condemned, but the group as a whole is segmented pockets of people wanting to take social stands in whatever way they seem necessary and saying they are BLM, not according to some coordinated effort, besides a group of people following a hashtag on where to meet. It needs a voice. Some have risen to prominence in cities, but they have little cache other than being there on the front-line when things go bad.

Haven't the protestors who have broken the law been arrested? Didn't Deray McKesson and over 100 hundreds get arrested in Baton Rouge when they broke the law while protesting?

 

Your post shows you still don't understand how BLM operates. Each city has a different BLM chapter. If a BLM chapter in Minnesota goes off the rails and gets violent you can't blame the BLM chapter in Atlanta who managed to protest peacefully over the course of a week without very many arrests taking place. That's no different than me saying all republicans are racist when David Duke has proven ties to the KKK or Donald Trump retweets known white supremacists. If the entire organization of BLM is a terrorist group preaching anarchy because of your google technique or because Fox News tells you what they want you to hear then like I said, let me know so I can readjust my thoughts about all republicans. Some of my best friends are republicans.

I don't blame everyone in BLM for the actions of the groups. However my point was that these are not small groups doing these things. These are large groups of people.

While I know you are not talking to me, in my estimation (going back to my previous post) the largest issue they have is that BLM is a victim of the social media, social justice society in which we live. Last week when President Obama explained that "BLM is more than just about black people and doesn't mean other lives do not matter....", it was probably the first time millions of people heard that uttered. Those that are damaging the image of BLM may not even know this. I think that is what many defenders of BLM is missing. You may hear that passingly, but no person of prominence is delivering that message.
