I understand what you're saying but is the organization doing the threatening or is it some of the members? I haven't really paid close attention but I was thinking the organization had disavowed many of the prior threatening comments.

I have absolutely no problem with their actions. Emotions are high on both sides. They have removed themselves from the list of people willing to work future games.

I have not seen a formal press release or press conference by any of the "leadership" of this organization denouncing any of the statements of the spokespersons from Spokane, Minneapolis, Dallas, etc....

 

Don't you think that if they had a message that differed dramatically from what is currently all over every media center in America that they would take to airwaves, print and any other method possible to refute the message ?

 

If I wanted to insure that my organizational message remained untainted I certainly would....assuming these are rouge spokespersons, not speaking on behalf of the BLM, why have they not ?

I don't know if terrorism is the right word or not. Actions like this that contain violence towards police, those of another race or destroying their own community surely we can come up with something to call it...maybe not terrorism, but we need to be able to call these actions something to separate them from the peaceful march and protest that took place in Dallas prior to the shooting.

I agree it "deserves" a name, it's not terrorism. It's also not to describe the entire BLM movement. It's a small number of people in the grand scheme. If we're painting BLM that way because of a few, then we're going to use that same logic for the police.
