Multiple Officers Shot During Protest in Texas

Featured Replies

So the Micah Johnson kid is the one in the video who ambushed and killed the cop and then he made his way to the parking garage? All this after he had killed and shot at other Dallas cops or he did more killing in the parking garage? Is that known yet?

But there is a disconnect between blacks and the police and that needs to be fixed somehow someway. To ignore that disconnect is just as wrong. There is so much that needs to be discussed and worked on but we can't seem to get past the most basic conversation pieces to have any true progress.

I'm not disagreeing, but these news conferences are not the place. Talk about things like a swift investigation, getting to the facts, all or resources, transparency ect ect. There's two many unknowns early on to point a finger.

Tv News is starting to repeat nut jobs twitter feeds on live TV. Twitter needs to shut these losers down.

This is the stuff that's continues to get people worked up enough to kill.

Can someone unplug twitter, Facebook and snap chat so we can go back to a more peaceful time?

Please

Good friend of mine posted on Facebook that he misses the days when the only hate on social media was us hating on the ATOs after we beat them in the flag football championship.

Social media is gonna be the downfall of society.

Social media is gonna be the downfall of society.

Agree totally! I'm truly amazed we have such a peaceful workplace here with all of the Facebook arguments that take place amongst coworkers.

And when a news event happens and the comments start rolling in.....

If everyone would just delete their Facebook accounts the world would be a better place.

And I think you and others are naive to how whacked out people are and need very little justification to act out.

If he has to keep in mind how nut jobs may take what he says, then he literally can't say anything...

He obviously didn't learn his lesson the last time he jumped to conclusions and implied the police were in the wrong.

Apparently he just needs to say nothing.

And then we'll be reading about that too.

Yep.

We don't have a black or white problem. We don't have a rich or poor problem. We don't have a right or left problem. We have a hate problem. Not real sure how we find a solution to that, and it's depressing.

And the media and social media in general perpetuates the hate. All it takes is one senseless and baseless twitter fool that wants to push his agenda and hate filled idea and thousands run with it in second with no facts whatsoever. Quit letting the media make decisions for you about what you feel and the facts you see. We all need to be informed and work to take this attitude out this country. Facts are optional at times these days and no news outlet is ever held accountable for it. It's very troubling.

Ugghh....He didn't just lay blame (at least partially) at the President's feet did he?

Just keep driving that wedge in deeper and deeper to divide this country.

A lot of history behind those sentiments. Generations upon generations of mistrust. Hard to undo in a couple decades.

Brown v. Board of Education was 60 years ago. Civil Rights Act only 50. And those were just the first steps on the road to reconciliation.

It doesn't look good at times, but I firmly believe that race relations in these United States are better than they've ever been... but we've got a long way to go.

I hope you are right my friend. As I've stated multiples times I really worry.

Apparently he just needs to say nothing.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I think he could've addressed it better. He could have said we need to wait for the results of the investigations, instead of "we should be troubled". Certainly comes across as the officers are guilty until proven otherwise.

You're right, we are going to have to agree to disagree. I see an issue with the amount of civilians being killed by police, you don't. I agree with him, EVERYONE should be troubled by what's going on.

There's literally nothing he could say that some of his constant detractors wouldn't pick apart and say he messed it up. Only a couple more months of blaming Obama, then what's everyone going to do?
