Agreed. How come the police haven't released their version of the events yet? Why does that seem to take a few days as opposed to instantly giving the policeman's account of the event?

 

I have still not seen anything other than the girlfriends (who has now been upgraded to fiancé) video. Shocked we have not seen the police side of the story and even more shocked there is not an uproar from the public to see it.

So the guy is alive? Not sure the inference when calling it staged.

But the 'girlfriend' either does not care or has written him off knowing she gets a life insurance policy or something. She is way to calm has some other quirks in her talking. Especially if 4 shots where just unloaded into the vehicle by a 9mm or larger caliber weapon that would have been fired in her direct direction. She just fails every test of authenticity in this video.

 

- "He been shot dead by the police" - But he is still obviously breathing - he is not dead.

- "He has been shot in the arm." - So one shot in the arm from the window. Good thing he was there or may have hit her.

- "He has been shot 4 times." - All in the arm? All in your direction (from the side across the car)?

 

 

Ignoring your own eyes and ears is not easy. There is enough youtube analysis to go around over there but this just does not look authentic on the surface.

In a state where it's legal for citizens to carry a firearm what is an officer supposed to do when a person says "I'm legally armed - the gun is in my pocket.." and he then reaches for his pocket to get his license out?

 

I'm asking from a training procedure standpoint. It would seem the officer is taking a chance of getting shot if he doesn't have his weapon out at that point.

Again, can it be proven he had a CCP... No record of it in the county of his residence but he could have gotten one elsewhere.. When the officer ran the tag he probably knew Castile was lying..

If the dude did announce he had a permit for a gun and was reaching for it or his license, I'm assuming the officer told him to stop before he opened fire on him? Part of the mystery of this case. The gun was drawn either prior to or when he started to reach for the pocket.

That's a queston I have as well. I know I've been pulled over and told the officer. He didn't seem to care. My buddy who is black has had the same experience twice. I've always been told by cops they worry the least with people who have CCW because in their experience they are the most cautious and gone through an extensive back round check.

In Minnesota, There a difference between having to have a gun permit and having a concealed carry permit. You have to obtain a permit to purchase a gun and it is a separate function to get a concealed permit.
