July 4, 201610 yr We just got back from Myrtle Beach. We were just beach bums. Loved it. We barely used 2 gallons of gas.
July 4, 201610 yr Heading to Chicago Wednesday. Reds-Cubs in the afternoon, Yankees-White Sox at night. Thursday hitting the beach up there. Maybe going to Vegas in October.

July 5, 201610 yr The wife and I just went to Dominican Republic for 10 days. We usually don't vacation during the summer other than boating.
July 5, 201610 yr Just got back from Naples, Florida early Monday morning. Longish drive (15-16 hours). Nice beaches, not very crowded. It was hot, but played some golf, did an airboat tour of the everglades, some offshore fishing, but mostly did a whole lot of nothing.

July 5, 201610 yr Did you go to Skyline? I drove by it, but did not stop in. Not being from the Greater Cincinnati area, I've never quite been able to come around to liking Cincinnati style chili. So no way was a going to get it while on vacation. I did indulge in several Cuban sandwiches and ate a bunch of seafood.
July 5, 201610 yr Portland for play & work and then 10 days doing SF down the coast to LA (all with wife) and back up to SF (2 kids join in LA) before heading home. Catching 2 Liverpool preseason soccer games while out there. All together gone from home for 3 weekends. Gonna be interesting. Suspect I'll be glad to be home at the beginning of AUG.
July 6, 201610 yr Went to Gatlinburg last month. Going to Orlando/Disney at the end of this month. Too late for Gatlinburg but PSA, there are bears in Gatlinburg and alligators in Florida.
