May 15, 201610 yr Trump on his tax rate: 'None of your business' Donald Trump on his tax rate: 'None of your business' - CNNPolitics.com Is this a big deal to you Trump supporters? Not a Trump supporter, but I've never understood the fascination of wanting to see candidate's returns.
May 15, 201610 yr To quote the thread starter's patron saint "What difference does it make"? About as big a deal to this Trump voter (not a supporter but I will vote for him because he's better then either Dem alternative) as the Hildabeast's improper and potentially illegal use of a private e-mail server or the possible influence peddling done by the Clinton Foundation seems to be to Clintom's supporters.
May 15, 201610 yr Not a Trump supporter, but I've never understood the fascination of wanting to see candidate's returns. Used against an uber-wealthy candidate to reveal that he or she is out of touch with the common man. As if any of these people are in touch with the common man.
May 15, 201610 yr He said this country wastes our money... I've said before we don't have a tax problem we have a spending problem. Spend less, lower taxes. Agree 100%.
May 15, 201610 yr Our sitting president hasn't related his college records still , do you have a problem with that ?
May 15, 201610 yr Our sitting president hasn't related his college records still , do you have a problem with that ? About as much as The Donald holding his tax returns close to the vest. I'd much rather have transparency, but at the end of the day I'm not going to lose a tremendous amount of sleep.
May 15, 201610 yr Our sitting president hasn't related his college records still , do you have a problem with that ? Who was asking for his college records?
May 16, 201610 yr Author The better question: does it make those of you who are on the fence about Trump hesitate? This has been customary for a while now. I can't believe he didn't expect it. I am curious why he won't now though.
May 16, 201610 yr I'd be surprised if it made any undecided votes change one way or another. This is not an election where the voters have high standards and tax returns have never really been a hot button issue with anyone. Unless of course if it showed monster donations to the Muslim Brotherhood. He'd lose Mtn Ref.
May 16, 201610 yr I am much less concerned where someone in a Chief Executive/Entrepreneurial role gets his income from than someone who has been in "public" service their entire career. Furthermore, I commend Donald Trump for running. He doesn't need this gig. He is running out of pure patriotism. We need more successful executives in government, the career politician gig not only is it not working, but people naturally compromise values and commitments to protect their paychecks. We need people serving in government that are difficult to impossible to influence financially, and are willing to serve one or two terms and get out. Another aspect that makes this inquiry ridiculous is that one candidate if elected, will MAKE money by being in office, the other, will LOSE money by being in office!

We could learn quite a bit from Deflectin' Don's tax returns, which is another way of saying he's got more to lose than gain by releasing them. I pulled the following paragraph from an article speculating same. I think the key fact that would come to light is the breadth of Trump's off-shore tax-dodging. Just my opinion. ***** "Trump’s tax returns would also provide plenty of information about revenue and expense items that were not on the campaign disclosure forms, including personal mortgages, charitable deductions, unusual tax credits, foreign investments including bank accounts in tax havens, and an overall federal tax rate."
May 16, 201610 yr I dont care if anyone ever releases their personal tax returns. Its their business like Clinton Fund I worry more about and how the money is funneled from Countries to buying America.

Those on the fence about him simply won't care any more than those on the fence about Hillary will care about her not releasing the speeches she's given to Wall Street for big bucks. Doesn't her lack of transparency on those worry you? Wouldn't you agree that she's obviously hiding something since she won't release them and goes to great pains to make sure they can't be recorded when she gives these speeches to the one percenters?

Please. Constantly playing the Hillary equivalency card shows a lack of creative thinking. Here's what Mitt Romney had to say about Trump's secret tax forms: "While not a likely circumstance, the potential for hidden inappropriate associations with foreign entities, criminal organizations, or other unsavory groups is simply too great a risk to ignore for someone who is seeking to become commander in chief."
