Furthermore, I commend Donald Trump for running. He doesn't need this gig. He is running out of pure patriotism. We need more successful executives in government, the career politician gig not only is it not working, but people naturally compromise values and commitments to protect their paychecks. We need people serving in government that are difficult to impossible to influence financially, and are willing to serve one or two terms and get out. The only way you believe Trump takes a pay cut is if you think Trump is selling his businesses. His businesses will still generate profit for him even if he's the POTUS. Not sure if can continue to earn a salary from his businesses but, again, his businesses will still be generating wealth and profits for him.

I think he would have to put all his holdings into a blind trust...that's what other Presidents have done. Not sure how that would work when you have a President actually earning income from a business he holds and not just from investments as all of the others have.
