As much as Hillary's 26 million dollar income last year. But she's middle class just like you HC...

You all sure can take a beating though, just picked the wrong politician to make as your idol in life.

I just posed a reasonable question. This "better than Hillary" argument remains weak.

I think he would have to put all his holdings into a blind trust...that's what other Presidents have done. Not sure how that would work when you have a President actually earning income from a business he holds and not just from investments as all of the others have.

That's my question as well. Investments are put into blind trusts. But, again, even if he can't earn a salary he still gets profits and builds wealth.

It's crazy that this hasn't come up before, but when was the last President that actually had a real job in the Private Sector let alone owning businesses? What did Jimmy Carter do with his peanut farm, did he quit growing peanuts for 4 years?

As a sitting President, how could anyone continue to run a business, especially if it is impacted by federal regulation? Trump would have to be temporarily divested, or there would be a HUGE conflict of interest.

All I'm telling you is that it your assertion that he will have to take a huge pay cut to be POTUS doesn't appear to be true when it comes to earning income much less when it comes to increasing wealth. He's not making a sacrifice to be POTUS.

As a practical matter, how engaged with his business could he be as POTUS? The value of his operations decreases substantially if he is not running them,

He's a face. He has execs executing his plans.

No damage whatsoever. He's campaigning full-time yet his businesses are running.

Sounds like Trump is a smart business man. Clintons are also. Both are smart people or they would not be where they are today. I have no problem with either making money, thats what America was built on. Everyone has the same chance to succeed. Trump is not liked cause of the things he says. Totally off the cuff and it rattles alot of the PC crowd. Clinton is not like cause she is a crook, liar and is under federal investigation and is being allowed to run for the highest office of the United States. At least she does not YET want to redistribute the wealth.

This weekend while we were playing at a large basketball tourney I talked with several people about the direction our country was headed. All walks of life from all over Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Ohio( most were business professionals and educated). Most were in favor of our country splitting into two different states. I was kinda shocked that alot thought this would be best for all involved. I do agree and have said so here many times, unless something changes its gonna happen. Thats not exactly on topic but I just threw that in for free.

What do you mean by "two different states ?"

What do you mean by "two different states ?"

I should have said countries. I thought this was kinda extreme but this was kinda a group discussion at one point and several made good points about it. Like East and West America, lol.

Those people need their heads checked. Trump or Clinton: our nation should never devolve into its 1860's form.
