Apparently Ed suffered a massive heart attack yesterday. Some reports say he has passed, but no official word.

As of bedtime last night, he was still hanging on. Kenny Walker said reports of his death are false.

I met Ed about 15 years ago or more when he was selling advertising. He was really soft spoken and very polite, was also kind of surprised by how small he was. My prayers go out to him.

Doesn't sound good. His mom arrived and is talking about donating organs. So it appears just a matter of time. Praying of him and the family.

Same for me. I met him and talked to him two or three times. Very polite and easy to talk to. Just a shame.

Very sad news. One of my favorite 'under rated' Cats of all time.

My first memories as a UK fan involve the Ed Davender teams. I was a big fan.

Ed has always been a favorite player of mine. He and Chapman together were an awesome pair and contrary to what many may say, IMO could hold their own with any set of guards in UK History.

 

Prayers for his family as they go through this day and the days to follow.

Ed was a smooth operator.......a very good player. I wish him the best.
