A Campbell Co. fan is questioning CovCath's "...lack of success."

Let me have that sink in for a second.

On behalf of the rest of BGP I would like to welcome back our good friend 'c horn'...

 Exactly my thoughts. He is good for some comic relief though.

I'm trying to figure out how 39 points scored against the state champs in the playoffs equates to "lack of success" considering Highlands was shut out by the same team a week later.

My understanding is CCH will be more balanced this year.

I'm liking this thread. It is nice Thursday afternoon entertainment.:D

Allright, I'm not really a Conner fan!! My team isn't expected to have a quality season and I don't want the abuse since we never win!!!

So your a Cov Cath fan.:D :D :D

I agree, the LexCath game is the first thing that came into my mind. The CCH offense was maybe the best it has been in the modern era last year and I am sure we will see more of the same from Coach R every year.

"Chuck and Duck" would be an inaccurate term to describe Coach R's offense. This is not David Klingler/Andre Ware and the Houston Cougars. I think people hear "passing offense" in high school and assume its something other than what it is.

In addition, if you noticed about halfway through last season, CCH got away from the predominantly throwing offense to a more balanced offense. I would expect to see the same this season.

You don't have to give away all the trade secrets!

In the few games I saw last season, the offense relied primarily on Ellison and his ability to run the ball. Bleser is not nearly as athletic or mobile as Drew, so some adjustments will need to be made.

I'm interested to see the offense as well...;)

I agree with you and having Brandon Brown, in addition to starting at cb, run the ball a lot is confirmation that R. intends to run the ball a lot more this year. If he was going to throw the ball, he would not run the risk of wearing Brandon out by playing a lot of offense. I think R. looked at the Highlands game tape and realized you beat the Birds by running the ball, not by passing it. Have them big hoggies on the line take tight splits to stop Highlands blitzes and stunts, and pound Buckley and Brown up behind them. Question is: does Dale know that such is coming and has he already made counter counter plans? Inquiring minds would like to know, but won't find out on this site from us Birds fans (or at least I hope not).

Before the end of the year Ellison will be greatly missed.

Who ?

I think Cov. Cath. is a good club, but I do think they are a little overrated don't you think, for not playing a game yet
