Kurt Barber is the hire.

Great guy and great choice. He will do well relating to the players.

Per Mike Stunson, Barber has coached at UT-Martin, Kent State, Utah, UNLV, Kentucky State, WKU, and Campbellsville.

Wow great hire

Does anyone know the possible offense formation or defensive style that barber is considering at PT??..

PT will hold a press conference tuesday afternoon at 1pm..Barber will be formally introduced then..

He is a former ky mr. Football, has coached at 7 different schools (colleges) and is a 1988 PT alum..

Congrats Paducah Tilghman! I think this is a really good hire. Hope it works out for you.

Good hire, PT has the talent in the school system, BUT the kids have to first come out and 2nd, stay out of trouble. Hopefully having a coach that played in the NFL will get the kids out and maybe he can teach them to live right, go to class and stay out of trouble.

Great hire.

Lol his profile has already been updated on Wikipedia. That was fast.

Can he teach or is he just going to coach?

Like I said. Paducah will go berserk. Now the work of getting the alumni together begins. Anyone that is a former player Or alumni that wants to help. Contact Alan treece. It's a great day to be a tornado. Also. More news to follow on who the rest of the staff will be. It's shaping up to be a doozy.

Will he let Randy Wyatt back on the staff? They played together on the '88 team. Despite what others may think of Randy, he did win a State Title.

I understand that randy won a state title, but in all seriousness, Larry shanks as the defensive coordinator won that title for PT..but no, I do not see randy having anything to do with this new staff..could Thomas possibly leave Campbellsville to come back to PT as an assistant? ?

Why would Thomas leave a college job to be an assistant at PT. If he wanted to come back to PT he would have done it as a head coach.
