Where will Mike rogers land for next season?

ive not seen them play but im curious as to What returning players will make this team "deadly"?

just looking at the stats shows they graduate their QB, top 2 RBs & top 4 Recs

only production i see coming back is a RB that gained around 200 Yds

are there some New players coming out?

 

A ton of new talent coming out. The hiring of Kurt has excited the hallways and with some of the returning players mixed with the incoming freshman class coupled with the addition of some absolute studs tt=hat were walking the halls and would not play for mike under any circumstances, next years team should compete. If PT can successfully implement the spread and D that they want over the next 2-3 years this team with all the consistent speed on the field and athleticism could prove to be formidable..I know that a lot of ifs but trust me. Its going to be fun to watch.

Am I the only one looking at the once proud and mighty Paducah Tilghman and wondering what has happened?

 

Here are their last three head coaches...

 

 

1. A reluctant track coach

2. A guy who has never even won a Regional Championship

3. A guy with ZERO head coaching experience

 

What has happened?

 

The county expansion and lone oaks rise coupled with higher city taxes has happened. Most all the money is in the county now. But think about it, still winning region 1 and competing at a high level, even winning state. What are expectations really? Most programs never get there.

I personally care, Mike is a huge loss for PT..i think ya'll will see that sooner then later..I personally see PT starting 0-4...don't think they can hang with mccracken with this being the 1st year implementing the hybrid spread, central hardin will tear them up, mayfield will destroy them, and graves will have possibly the best team sense the 2014 state runner up..so arguably 0-4 is the honest and most accurate guess at this point!

What about the Blue Tornado's lines? I know they have kids that can run, but if you don't have kids that can block it can be a long day at the office. That has been a big issue from last years team. Correct?

The line is still on the smaller side. Which is why the spread will fit this team. wider splits, quick plays etc. Now if we can get some size on the field that would be even better.

says a guy from graves. SMH. I guess we should have consulted you guys before the hire.. we will see. at the end of the day these are high school kids so to many unknowns right now. But your bravado lends itself to embarrassment.

Eagle your thoughts on coach Mike Rogers are well taken. IMO he is a great man and a good coach. BUT as far as it being a huge loss for PT, I beg to differ as his 15-10 record in the two years he was here is mediocre at best. So needless to say he was not setting the world on fire.

 

As far as the implementation of the hybrid spread offense, PT may well struggle early although I assure you that there are plenty of skill position players, including the quarterback(s) capable of making it work early. AND once again the good Lord has seen fit to bless PT with outstanding speed a staple every year that we can rely on. The spread offense will cater to this speed and make life miserable for opposing defensive coordinators. I dare say that year in and year out not many schools in the state of Kentucky have a quicker team than Tilghman. As you know speed KILLS.

 

As far as starting 0-4 we thank you for your vote of confidence. With regard to McCracken I believe we have beaten them 2 out of the first three years they have been in existence. Not many expected or picked us to win any of those games. Enough said. Central Hardin just flat out ran the ball down our throats last year. No wonder with that 3 man front Rogers ran for most of the start of the season. You better have 3 STUDS up front to be able to compete against a team like Central Hardin. PT simply did not have the booty to run that style of defense. Mayfield well Mayfield is simply Mayfield. They are just flat out good. They do what they do and they execute. Obviously we are trying to get back to where we once were and win every now and then against those Cardinals. As for your 2014 state runner-up team kudos to that team. I for one was pulling hard for them to win it all. I think they had maybe one or two losses going into that state championship game. One of those losses coming to none other than PADUCAH TILGHMAN. Enough said. With all due respect we may very well start out 0-4 but I think that is highly unlikely

With all do respect, I would love to see tilghman return to glory.. Tilghman does in fact have tons of speed..i just hope all the components combine for success..one question if any of the tornado faithful know..what style defense is tilghman considering??.rodgers did use a 3-3-5, 4-3-4, & 4-2-5 zone...and everyone plz understand I'm not against PT at all, I just wish they could get it all figured out and compete the way tilghman did in the past!!..

He should be pretty good as a recruiter at MSU which I assume is where he landed or at least that is what I was told he would be doing back when he resigned, Smash, normally you are pretty dead on but this is one of the rare times I think you are off.

I also think that PT starts 0-3 and if so the future will depend on how the PT community deals with that. The first 3 should all be really good and a win in any of those would be unexpected. If this comes to be true it will be a shame if there is any fallout. I am on board the following years if PT chooses to buy in.

LOL......Graves will have the best team since all the way back to 2014? Were they still wearing leather helmets way back then?

Seriously what you meant to say was 2016 Graves will be better than last year but not as good as 2014, no?
