PT will be fine in time, sure we stand a chance to lose some games at the first of the season, but no one expects just because we have a new coach we will win every game until the end of time.

Barber will prove to be a great leader, and with the upcoming talent we have in the program now, look for PT to make a marked improvement.

There has been a whole lot of speculation and much improvisation on the whole Rodgers/Wyatt situation, but that ship has sailed and it is gone, so all we can do is move forward. I liked Rodgers as a person, and he did some good things but he is gone now and we have a coach in place that understands the heart and soul of what PT football was like at its highest level, so we move forward with a very good staff.

PT will look to go fast and hard on offense under Treece, and if you ever saw Kurt Barber play defense-you can imagine how they will progress in that area. PT may indeed be young, inexperienced, and small; but Barber has already "recruited the halls" and in time I believe you will see a marked improvement in the program as a whole.

He should be pretty good as a recruiter at MSU which I assume is where he landed or at least that is what I was told he would be doing back when he resigned, Smash, normally you are pretty dead on but this is one of the rare times I think you are off.

I also think that PT starts 0-3 and if so the future will depend on how the PT community deals with that. The first 3 should all be really good and a win in any of those would be unexpected. If this comes to be true it will be a shame if there is any fallout. I am on board the following years if PT chooses to buy in.

Yeah. I might be. All this rigamaroar has got me off kilter I guess. I too hope that we give this coaching staff 2-3 years to fully develop. Toothpick I just want so badly for our rivalry to mean something again. It has to. It's way to special to turn into a one sided affair like it has of late. What the PT faithful hasn't fully grasped is that it takes consistency in every level to achieve a year in and year out program. Little league on up. If we start out 0-3. It will truly be a little disappointing. Now if are getting better weekly I'm sure people will be patient. As long as the coaching staff stays on the same page. Which I think will happen. I really don't think it will be a meltdown like some are predicting.

Well said, I too think if given time the Blue Tornado will be back. The younger Tornados are very good and the new staff has been working the halls, all good signs.

Hey guys the cupboard is hardly bare even before the new staff started beating the halls. What I keep saying and all should take notice is that with this spread offense coached by Mr. Treece, Tilghman will start winning early. You all saw what coach Treece did at Lone Oak with the spread and they were not in the same galaxy with skill kids like PT is. Oh and did I forget SPEED???

IMO coach Barber is going to implement a defense similar to that of the defense coach Allen Cox used during the 9 years he spent coaching at Tilghman. Oh by the way coach Cox was in the state championship game 5 of those 9 years. Uh I believe that dog will hunt.

So maybe just maybe if we couple this spread offense and a tough attacking defense the blue men might scratch out a win or two early. Only time will tell. However I do feel a stiff breeze beginning to blow.
