Depending on the amount of work that needed to be done, they probably didn't have a choice. Baseball doesn't end until late May. Starting in June might not have given them enough time to make sure it would be ready by next season.

I was told by Coach Mullins back in January that the baseball project was supposed to start in June but that obviously has been moved up.

Correct. I think softball will be played in the back of the property and will have a temporary fence. I don't think they will be able to have baseball and softball at the same time.

We are making Covington Catholic pay for it. If they say anything then we will make the field 10 yards longer.

I was told yes, there will be lights on the baseball/soccer complex. I will post pictures of the progress if I can figure out how to attach the images.
