Exactly Clyde. They built a new gym which gets basketball practice and gym time on campus on a reasonable schedule.

The next phase of the Beechwood athletics complex is in progress. LED lights have been installed on the upper field which includes baseball, softball and soccer. For those who may not know, the upper field is 100% turf. In the picture below you can see the new lights in operation for the first time tonight behind the football field house.

Construction is about to begin on another field house between the baseball field and I-75 which will provide indoor training for baseball (batting cage), archery and golf.

Any word on a new press box?!

 

I have heard talk there will be a new press box by next season but I don't know of any actual plans or construction start.

The School Board and Administration have done a fantastic job getting all this done. All done responsibly IMO. Dr. Stacey took the baton from previous administration, made a plan and got it done in quick order. Hopefully we can do something about the baseball stands so a majority of the seats can see the entire field. Choosing to see 3rd or 1st base sucks!

 

The Lights are a game changer for a school that has 5 soccer teams and where Softball and Baseball share an outfield. AD's have to be relieved about the scheduling options.
