  1. Game was played yesterday at Ryle. Rematch of last years Championship game. Conner vs CovCath Was told CovCath won 4-3 in 9 innings.
  2. Is the bracket posted somewhere?
  3. Am I misunderstanding this rule or wouldn't it make sence for coaches to pitch their aces in the 2nd District seeding game?
  4. Has there been a decision made on where the 9th and 10th Region Semi-State baseball game will be played?
  5. Travis Smith - Walton - SO. UK Commit Bryce Smith - Dixie - JR. Coming back from an injury. Joseph Nonno - Dixie - SR. Landon Scott - SK - JR. Grady Cramer - Highlands - SR. Steven Grimme - Highlands - SR. Collin Hollingsworth - Highlands - JR. Evan Stallman - CovCath - SR.
  6. Think it's Tyler Olier for NKU. Honest mistake with Trey Bowden above him. Jake Ziegelmeyer - Morehead State-JR (Ryle) 7.0 IP 1-0 Record 2 Saves 12K's - 1BB 3.86ERA Branden Combs - Walters State CC-SOPH UK Transfer (Beechwood) .227AVG 3HR's 7RBI's Braydon Runion - Walters State CC-FR (Cooper) .267AVG 3HR's 9RBI's Brendan Reid - Frontier CC-FR (Cooper) 7.2IP 11K's 1.17ERA Brennan Baker - Thomas More-FR (SK) 4AB's .250AVG Hunter Dreves - Tennessee-FR (Highlands) No Stats Braxton Foley - Winthrop-FR (Walton-Verona) 2IP 4.50ERA Shawn Lawrence - Thomas More-SR (SK) 16AB's .125 AVG 5IP 3.60ERA Adam Schneider - Sinclair CC-FR (CovCath) 19AB's .368AVG I'm sure there are many more local players.
  7. I did not see it but heard that Conner started the game with a 14-0 run before Ryle started chipping away. Think Ryle won 60-49.
  8. He was NOT. The Goalie dove to his left but actually blocked the ball with his shins as it was hit right up the middle.
  9. Amazing game played by both teams. Conner scored first with 17:29 left in the 1st Half. Ryle ties it up with 13:09 left in the 2nd Half. Regulation ends tied 1-1. No one scores in the 1st 5 minute OT. No one scores in the 2nd 5 minute OT. Ryle fails to score on their 1st PK shot, Conner fails on their 4th. 4-4 tie after the 1st round of PK's. 2nd round sees both teams make their 1st kicks, fail on the 2nd and make the 3rd. Ryle makes their 4th kick, Conner has their 4th kicked blocked for the Ryle win but the Goalie was flagged for moving early and re-kick was issued and made by Conner to tie it again at 3-3. Ryle's 5th kick was blocked, Conner's 5th kick is good and Conner advances to the 33 District Finals.
  10. All of the scoring came in the 4th inning. Sam Crigler with a hit up the middle, went to 3rd on a hit by Devin Eha that hit the 1st base bag and went into shallow right, scored on a throwing error back to the infield, Eha moves to 2nd. Gavin Pearson grounded out to SS moving Eha to 3rd. Justin Schlarman with a line drive that hits the infield lip and bounces over the first baseman, Eha scores. 3 of Coopers 4 Hits came in that inning.
  11. Conner Phillips gets the win for Cooper with 9 K's, 1 BB, 5 Hits and 0 Runs. Evan Webster takes the loss with 5 K's, 1 BB, 4 Hits, 2 Runs Good luck to both at Regionals.
  12. Ryle was the District Loser in that game. St. Henry was the higher seed.
  13. IMO this is one of the best paragraphs I've read on BGP!!
  14. From PBR Kentucky: Cincinnati Elder 5, #2 Highlands 2 After a rocky first inning, Hunter Dreves settled in to record 6 strikeouts over 3 innings of work in Highlands’ opening game of the season.
  15. All the more reason he SHOULD play summer baseball. I don’t know the kid at all. He may have some other family or sporting obligations that won’t allow summer baseball to fit into his schedule but I believe a player needs more than 35-40 high school games a year if they want to play college baseball.
  16. Camps are a little more risky. Most of the time it’s only that school getting a look at the player where as multiple schools can see a player at a PBR event.
  17. I'm probably the odd man out with my comments but I don't mind the $200 fee's to a PBR event a couple times a year. I have to spend $300-$500 for a new bat every other year, $350 for a new glove, $200 for new spikes and turf cleats every other year, at least $100 on batting gloves for the season, plus $1000-$2500 ( depending on your team) in Summer Team fees. But I'm also a realist. My son isn't going to play for Vandy or UK. If i can spend $1000-$1200 over 3 years on PBR showcases to get him on a lower level D-1,D-2,D-3 or NAIA schools radar and they want to pay for part of his college expences I think I'm getting a good ROI. He can be #7 or #107, if the school sees him and they think he can help their program, he will get a call.
  18. How about more seating for the baseball field? Any word on that?
  19. Now I get it.........You're just messin' with us. I'll admit ya had me going. The way you were building him up you either had to be his dad, coach or agent. This kid is going to have more pressure on him than Lonzo Ball, especially on a team that went 15-17 last year. That 4th state title will be hard to come by. 2015 West Jessamine, 2016 St. X, 2017 PRP, 2018 OHIO CO.???
  20. Your son has good numbers. One question....Why do you care so much about what others think of the schools you are thinking of? Was it Wagle3's comments that set you off?
