CCH goes 2-0 against their rival this season. McGinness hit his 3rd HR of the season. Maile started for CCH/Cramer for HHS.

Justin Colvin started it off for CovCath by hitting 3 run HR and Casey McGinness finished it with 3 run HR and 2 rbi double. The Birds hit 2 solo HR’s by Ethan Kavaungh and Chris Bridewell. It was Chris’s first high school Homerun.

Why can't the birds beat the colonels? Is it in their head? How many L's in a row is this?

Better question for you. When was the last time that CovCath won the regional tournament?

JB does a very good job of getting his entire team sufficient game action during the regular season so that when tournament time rolls around he knows what guys he can count on to do the things he wants and/or needs done. Come tournament time, pitching is what gets you the wins and his staff is loaded for a short tournament like the region especially when he can throw off in his District games.

This is correct. It's not like JB doesn't care about winning regular season games, but he sees the bigger picture, which is making sure his team is prepared to use everyone on the roster to their advantage come tournament time. I saw a shocking statistic the other day regarding Cov Cath. Since 2009 they have advanced to the 2nd round of the Regional tournament only twice. Those two wins came against Bellevue and Newport. That's shocking.

This is not correct. In 2009 CovCath was Regional runner-up and in 2014 advanced to the second round after a 1st round win over St. Henry.

Fake news...

Advanced in 09, 10, 11, and 14.

Beat St. Henry (09 and 14), Bellevue (10), Newport (11)

Before we go on about those 4 victories not being against the strongest opponents, let's keep in mind first round regional matchups (when you win your district) are against a district loser not within your own district. St. Henry and that Bellevue team (depending on who was on the mound) are not teams to overlook. (See the St. Henry upset of Ryle in round 1 recently)

Good job Colonels!!! I was told on BGP that the only way CCH would beat HHS this year is if HHS's bus broke down on the way to the game. Obviously it was a HHS fan. Looks like the bus made it and they didn't win.... twice.... That is why the game is played......

Ryle was the District Loser in that game. St. Henry was the higher seed.

True, but if you ask many who track upsets on name alone, this was an upset. The point being the St. Henry's, Bellevue's and others are often overlooked, but in HS baseball crazy things can happen when aces are on the mound.

Considering the Birds were 0-3 against CCH that was a silly thing for them to say. Of course, they may have meant in the Regionals.
